Protocol: Protocol is used to define a method of transmitting data over a computer network such as LAN, internet, and intranet. Each protocol has its special techniques, like how the data is formatted, when we sent, what to do with it once we received and how to check the errors in data. Generally protocol is in the form of packets, through packets only the data will send and receive it. There are hundreds of protocols has been developed for special purposes and environments. One of most common and known protocol is HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol), TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) which is used to transmit the data through internet.
Identify key elements of a data communication protocol:
There are three key elements of data communication …show more content…
A syntax protocol can be applied in many phases of computer programming and networking, as well as internet protocol, operating system protocol, texting and mailing protocol. It has special languages that will communicate with components and interact with one another.
Semantics: Semantics communicates with each section of bits such as how it will specify the pattern to be interpreted and what action is to be taken based on that interpretation. Finally it will identify the route to send the message to the final destination.
Timing: It discussed about two characteristics, one when the data should be sent and second how fast the data can be sent. Sometimes when data is transmission there will be chances for overload due to that a huge data will be lost.
Protocol Architecture:
There is several protocol architecture which will be defines the objects and procedures how the data will exchange between the devices. For example TCP/IP protocol architecture, it has a five layers and the model is known as DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Project Agency). The five layers of DARPA model are

Fsmo Role Ayer Nate Method

...have one domain controller (not recommended), there is nothing to do since all roles must be on this server, but if you have multiple servers you should move some of theese roles on to more servers. It is also important to be aware of what servers are Global Catalog servers, especially if you have more than one domain and even if only one domain, they will be prefered by applications like Exchange server. It is recommended to place the forest roles on one Domain Controller (DC) and the domain roles on another server. If not all Domain Controllers are Global Catalog servers, it is also important to place the infrastructure master on a server that is NOT a Global Catalog server. Recommended Best Practice setup of FSMO roles. Domain Controller #1 Place the two forest roles on this server. * Schema Master * Domain Master Domain Controller #2 Place the domain roles on this server. * RID Master * Infrastructure Master * PDC Emulator If more domains exist in the forest, place the domain roles on a server in theese domains like Domain Controller #2 Global Catalog configuration. In Windows 2008 Active Directory all Domain Controllers are by default Global Catalog servers, personally...
