While some families may discuss with you their beliefs and the impact they have on their holiday practices, for example, others may not feel the need to share their religious views at all. Due in part to the legal aspects of the separation of church and state, much of education has been silenced about religion. But ignoring the importance of Faith that many families hold dear, and the impact it has on their values and practices, is to miss a significant factor that makes them who they are and contributes to their identity as a family (Couchenour & Chrisman, 2014). Be open to listening, without bias or judgement, to whatever aspects of their lives families choose to share with you.

When this happens, the most important things an effective early childhood teacher can do are collect information, ask for guidance, and make changes until the sense of inclusiveness prevails within his or her classroom

It is the responsibility of ECE teachers to foster a climate that encourages acceptance of ALL children and their families. We can do this in several ways: 1. Mutual respect, cooperation, shared responsibility, and negotiation of conflicts toward achievement of shared goals are requirements for effective family and school partnerships.
2. Collaborative partnerships require regular, frequent, two-way communication with the child’s family.
3. Roles for parents include decision making about children’s care and education as well as observation, participation, and decision making regarding the program.
4. The teacher's role includes sensitivity to families’ wishes and respect for their preferences while maintaining professional responsibility for

...security is sensitive to even a slight change in the pattern of the weather and climate. Hence these countries, more specifically small-scale farmers in low-income countries, are the most vulnerable group to the effect of global warming and climate change. [1]. In contrast, developed and developing countries share a responsibility of using fossil fuel as the energy source for the industrial sector, which contributes a significant release of greenhouse gasses (GHG) into the atmosphere. Another striking fact is that the food choice and lifestyle, such as a high consumption of meat, also plays a role in the production of GHG. Food production, especially livestock production, is responsible for 70% of all agricultural land use and 18% of global GHG. [2, 3]. Is it fair that the most vulnerable group in the poor countries have to bear the consequences of the other group’s actions? This concern makes me reflect and wonders of what action I can do. It would be unrealistic to think that I can do the...

...for criticisms to the theory of memory. When discussing the basis of personal identity, Sam’s answers became circular. Circular in this context means that Sam’s answers did not offer a direct conclusion. His ideals would beg the question and would not indicate or support the theory of memory to be possible. If memory and experiences were the foundation of personal identity then Sam’s claim regarding having two individuals live the same memories to create one would not be accurate. The problem with this is that the theory states that a character’s memories make them who they are and make them unique from every other being therefore having two bodies will just mean that one is an imposter with false recollections that it did not live. 2. Bruce Banner and The Hulk as seen in my perspective is the same person. What made me come to this conclusion was that a few seconds before Bruce turned into his ultimate form he was asked to get angry but he turned and said “I am always angry”. This shows that he had no difficulty in altering his physical form because internally his form or personal identity remains the same. In other words whether he’s in his human form or hulk form he is always angry. The theory of memory and same soul, aids to prove my belief because the memory theory states that experiences and recollections make an individual who they are while the same soul theory states that personality and having your own unique character constructs your personal identity. Before turning...

...This question also is good due to being concise, clear, and accurately encompassing the construct of neuroticism, based on the definition provided. It is situational, but not vague or left up to interpretation. 2. The following table shows correlations of each of the 15 items with the total score of USF Neuroticism scale. Based on item-total correlations, please identify which item(s) you think should be deleted and explain why. A positive correlation indicates that the item discriminates well between high and low scoring groups, which is the ideal. A negatively correlated item indicates that it does not discriminate well between high and low scoring groups. Items with a correlation of above 0.30 are considered acceptable. ...We live in a world were having a college education is a must in order to live a comfortable life. Having success while in college and maintaining a high GPA above a certain level is important and beneficial in regards to obtaining scholarships, financial awards or assistance. A high GPA can also open doors to academic honors and internship opportunities and it becomes a little easier to continue your education and getting into grad school. However, I don’t feel that my college GPA can define mine work ethic or anyone else in the work force. Although there are seven learning styles, visual, aural, verbal, physical, logical, social and solitary, a student must follow the education metrics of his or hers college and follow a certain style of learning in order to obtain good grades. In other words a college GPA is measure by how good of a test taker a student is. It does not measure the creativity of a student or if he/she understands the information of a certain topic. An example of this is a student can study a chapter in a course until he/she understands the rules that are needed to solve the questions in the chapter, however when the student takes the test and does not show his work his instructor gives the student zero points not because he got the answers wrong but because he did not follow directions. Not to mention that my GPA does not determine how smart I am or anyone else. My current GPA is 3.2 but I also have a full time career and I have a disadvantage with English...

I annotated, highlighted, brainstorming the main ideas, while considering the supporting ideas that can work in my paper. However, I had set a goal for myself to create flashcards and practice by “teaching” the material to someone else, but due to personal issues, I was unable to meet those objectives. Furthermore, environmental distractions played a significant role in my studying as my roommates were continuously inviting people over and the house was always loud, causing me to lose focus while studying. Overall, despite studying the material weekly, when it came to the mid-term, I blacked out due to both nervousness and lack of confidence, resulting in the score I received. 2. Regardless of my midterm results, I believe that I have a better understanding of the strategies that allow me to be successful in my studies. For example, I noticed that the material I recalled the most was the one that I had studied alone in a quiet environment in the Science Complex, free of any sort of distractions. Usually, after each seminar or lab activity I attended throughout the week, I would stay in the Science Complex and sit on either the second or third floor. ...A 3 X 2 X 2 between-subjects experimental design was carried out. The two manipulations were: (1) ad content: personal benefit and environmental benefit, and (2) brand familiarity: familiar brand and non-familiar brand. The stimuli were twelve advertisements that featured three product categories: bottled water, hybrid cars and toilet paper; and two real brands for each category: familiar and non-familiar. Table 2 summarizes their selection and combinations. The treatment condition ads were created as full-color print ads that included equal background and font size within the same product category, but the content of the copy emphasized the personal or environmental benefit with the presence of the familiar or non-familiar brand. The message of the personal or environmental benefit was exactly the same in either familiar or non-familiar brand. Print advertising was well-suited for the purposes of this research because it is considered as a medium frequently related to obtaining information about environmental issues by consumers (Lafferty and Edmondson, 2009; Iyer, Banerjee and Gulas, 1993). In addition, it was used in previous studies to assess green advertising...

... My overall goal for this project was to create a 3rd person game in a jungle and learn to create a game because I thought I had the background knowledge do so. To accomplish this I used Unity and researched. I spent many hours crating the game so that I would be perfect. I created a game that I felt satisfied with because of the terrain and the movement mechanics, but I also thought that this game did not meet my standard because of the errors and the village that I was unable to complete. Since I needed to learn about creating games in Unity, I read articles on the web, and I watched videos. The articles taught me the different functions of each code and the videos had the step-by-step process of how to do it. Since the only thing I knew how to do was programming in C#, I needed to research how to create a terrain. When I looked at some articles in Unity, I found that creating a terrain does not require any programming skills, and the articles also showed that when programming in C# the terrain was classified as a game object. After I learned the codes for writing a game, I was able to create a functional character movement in the terrain. The movement was the first thing that the videos I looked at created because without the proper movement of a character other important features such as animation and enemies will also not work properly. I used youtube videos and articles from Unity to learn how I could make my game and I used my previous knowledge of C# programming to create...
