According to my results, I did report seeing words that were not on the original list. I reported 100% of the related lures that were not on the list and 6.250% of the unrelated lures that were not on the list. The percentage of original list items and unrelated lures I reported were similar to the group data. I reported 85.714% of the original list items and the mean percentage was 80.839% for the group data. Also, I reported 6.250% of the unrelated lures and the mean percentage was 5.087% for the group data. In both of these categories, my results are within at least 5% of the group results. I actually reported more of the related lures, 100%, than the group data’s mean, 75.397%. It’s impossible to accurately assess the accuracy of someone’s memory unless there is actual physical evidence that a certain thing happened such as photo or auditory evidence. How detailed or confident someone is in the accuracy of their memory is not a good indicator of how accurate their memory actually is.

...1.0 Assignment 2 Reflection In assignment 2, I was responsible for the last part of the submission that is discussing the in-scope and out-of-scope concepts, matching the related design principles with our decisions, and discussing the design decisions we took while designing the prototype. Here are the two things I want to reflect on: 1. Discussing the design decisions 2. Matching related design principles 1.1 Design Decision Discussion For discussing design decisions, I retrieved and listed all the features from the working prototype and gave reasons to each of them. In order to complete my discussion, I talked with the member who’s in charge of the user cases, so I was advised which components are vital. On the other hand, by consulting with the prototype builder, I...

...opinion is that option 2 serves as the best possible decision that the US could make. In my mind, option 2 addresses the two most important concerns that are brought up in the discussion of the atom bomb. Those concerns are sustaining human life, especially when it comes to American, and innocent (non-military) Japanese citizens, and the preservation of constitutional American morals that were created to define America’s course of action in peace, as well as in war. Though all three options attempt to address these issues, option 2 clearly has the highest likelihood of producing the best possible outcomes for both of these concerns. Though all three options attempt to prevent the loss of life, option 2 does this most...

...security is sensitive to even a slight change in the pattern of the weather and climate. Hence these countries, more specifically small-scale farmers in low-income countries, are the most vulnerable group to the effect of global warming and climate change. [1]. In contrast, developed and developing countries share a responsibility of using fossil fuel as the energy source for the industrial sector, which contributes a significant release of greenhouse gasses (GHG) into the atmosphere. Another striking fact is that the food choice and lifestyle, such as a high consumption of meat, also plays a role in the production of GHG. Food production, especially livestock production, is responsible for 70% of all agricultural land use and 18% of global GHG. [2, 3]. Is it fair that the most vulnerable group in the poor countries have to bear the consequences of the other group’s actions? This concern makes me reflect and wonders of what action I can do. ...for criticisms to the theory of memory. When discussing the basis of personal identity, Sam’s answers became circular. Circular in this context means that Sam’s answers did not offer a direct conclusion. His ideals would beg the question and would not indicate or support the theory of memory to be possible. If memory and experiences were the foundation of personal identity then Sam’s claim regarding having two individuals live the same memories to create one would not be accurate. The problem with this is that the theory states that a character’s memories make them who they are and make them unique from every other being therefore having two bodies will just mean that one is an imposter with false recollections that it did not live. 2. Bruce Banner and The Hulk as seen in my perspective is the same person. What made me come to this conclusion was that a few seconds before Bruce turned into his ultimate form he was asked to get angry but he turned and said “I am always angry”. This shows that he had no difficulty in altering his physical form because internally his form or personal identity remains the same. In other words whether he’s in his human form or hulk form he is always angry. The theory of memory and same soul, aids to prove my belief because the memory theory states that experiences and recollections make an individual who they are while the same soul theory states that personality and having your own unique character constructs your personal identity. Before turning...

Nt1310 Unit 2 Lab 2

...Overview: Lab 2 The purpose of Lab 2 was to examine the role and nature of restriction enzymes as well to take the first steps in producing a recombinant DNA molecule. Plasmids are circular DNA pieces found in bacterial cells. Plasmids are used in genetic engineering to expedite gene cloning and gene expression (through protein production) in bacteria. Through cloning, antibiotic resistance genes have been placed inside of plasmids and the antibiotic resistance genes function as selectable markers – genes that allow scientists to select between bacteria that do and do not have the plasmid. If a bacterium does in fact possess a plasmid that has an antibiotic resistance gene then that particular bacterium will be able to reproduce in an environment with that specific antibiotic present. Bacteria that do not possess a plasmid with an antibiotic resistance gene will not be able to grow. Therefore, antibiotics can be used to pin point bacteria that are resistant and presumably contain a plasmid with the resistance gene from those that are not resistant...

...We live in a world were having a college education is a must in order to live a comfortable life. Having success while in college and maintaining a high GPA above a certain level is important and beneficial in regards to obtaining scholarships, financial awards or assistance. A high GPA can also open doors to academic honors and internship opportunities and it becomes a little easier to continue your education and getting into grad school. However, I don’t feel that my college GPA can define mine work ethic or anyone else in the work force. Although there are seven learning styles, visual, aural, verbal, physical, logical, social and solitary, a student must follow the education metrics of his or hers college and follow a certain style of learning in order to obtain good grades. In other words a college GPA is measure by how good of a test taker a student is. It does not measure the creativity of a student or if he/she understands the information of a certain topic. An example of this is a student can study a chapter in a course until he/she understands the rules that are needed to solve the questions in the chapter, however when the student takes the test and does not show his work his instructor gives the student zero points not because he got the answers wrong but because he did not follow directions. Not to mention that my GPA does not determine how smart I am or anyone else. My current GPA is 3.2 but I also have a full time career and I have a disadvantage with English...
