Stew reported that the wireless network in the office was very slow. He requested that we determine if there was firmware available for the SonicWALL, which is acting as the wireless access point. He stated that he needed to have it corrected even if the SonicWALL needed to be replaced. Found that there were no new firmware updates for the SonicWALL, but it was not near the end of life. Recommended adding a wireless device to provide wireless connection, then disable wireless on the SonicWALL. Stew agreed. Escalated to onsite and dispatched a technician with an EnGenius ECB 350 access point.

Connected remotely to the computer. Connection was extremely slow due to the computer issue. Found hundreds of instances of Java running. Downloaded and ran scans with multiple anti-malware applications which detected and removed a large number of malware components. Verified that all malware was removed.

"Shawne reported that a spare computer was running very slowly. After scanning for and removing malware that affected Java, uninstalled two versions of Java. Reinstalled the latest version of Java. Verified that the issue was resolved. A second spare computer had had the IT365 agent removed when the computer could not be found online. Connected to the computer and reinstalled the agent.

"Ted reported that he was unable to install the HP network printer on his computer. Connected remotely to the computer. Found that the printer was installed with the host name, and that name was incorrect. Walked Ted through obtaining the IP Address of the printer. Installed the printer with the IP Address and verified that Ted was able to print.
