To start building your final project, please identify three processes in at your site that enhance patient care, health care delivery, or health care management. These can be policies, daily routines, even informal things that you find happening at your site that betters care.

Health care management:
I have chosen health care management. The internship that I am interning at revolves around patient management systems and communication amongst the many staff members.

- Health policies: There are many different policies to follow by having a patient management system in a health care facility. Information is now being stored in the ‘cloud’ and has to be protected. There are different security measures that a patient management system in a health care facility has to know before it is passed such as HIPPA and HITECH. This relates back to the recent ruling that every facility must have an PM integrated system. It is hard for everyone to adapt to technology but that is now why communication is key. I have seen it for myself while I have been interning.

This is where communication is key. I think that it is caregivers and health officials to explain to the patient of how to use and understand the patient management system. I know that patients also have access to there own medical record. The other problem that comes about is that staff members are not sure themselves how to adapt to these new patient management systems. That is why there is training that takes place and communicating amongst team members helps you
