Hello Business Manager, I’m writing to you of your concerns about the recent breach on our competitor. We have decided to implement a new password policy and would like to reassure you that our company will not be at risk of being hacked if both departments work together and abide strictly be the policy on password protection being put in place. The whole purpose of this new policy is to have your employees follow these rule, and all should be secure. Should you need any assistance with adhering to any of the rules or need any of them explained, please feel free to call my office and I will promptly send someone to help explain the procedures. I can assure you that if your employees follow the policy and remain as diligent as all the other departments are with password security, your employees will not experience no later starting times than usual. If any employee is caught not following the rules, that employee/employees can face disciplinary actions, including termination of employment. If we all can work together and secure our network, we will continue to have a safe and successful company with the risk to our networking security.

New Password Policy
1. All Passwords will be kept secure and will not be given to any other employee or shared.
2. Passwords must be 8 – 48 characters long, must contain at least 1 capital letter, 1 special character (!@#$%^&*)
3. Passwords cannot contain same characters in sequence (11, aa or @@).
4. Password cannot be names
5. Passwords will expire every 45 days and must be renewed on or before the 45 days expire.
5. The same password cannot be used in the same calendar year.
