Depending on the installation being done, Fedora/RHEL either overwrites all the files on the hard drive, or updates the software that has new versions

A live system is where you have a linux running on top of another operating system like windows. The advantages are that none of the changes you make are kept, as it doesn’t write to the hard drive

Chapter 11 Exercise 1
Single user mode is where only the system console is enabled, you can run programs from the console, so long as they are not graphical programs (Text only). Multi user Mode is where you have a graphical interface to use.
Chapter 11 Exercise 3
SU stands for substitute user. To log in as Zach you would follow the SU on the command line with the users name, so long as you are working with root privileges you will take on that identity. To establish the same environment you would have to use Sudo, and type in sudo -i
Chapter 11 Exercise 7
To develop a password I tend to create one using a phrase, for example Red Bull is good for keeping me awake all day and night long. I would then use RB1g4k!aAd&nl. I tend to capitalize company names and personal names, I always becomes ! for me, and becomes & (so I tend to put it in there)
