As a leader, I am self-motivated. I identify the purpose of a task, and set clear goals for outcomes of performance. Once the objectives are set, I know how and where to collect information I need. When I encounter with challenges, I spend enough time to analyze the situations thoroughly, including the factors involved which may lead to different results. I solve problems use both rational thinking and emotional touch. As the day goes by, I am increasing my emotional self-awareness and regulation. My improved sensitivity to mine and other’s emotional needs elicit my positive attitude under tough situations. I am more confident to act on my intuition to estimate other people’s feelings in the context. My interpersonal skills are improving; I take time to come up with better ways of approaching others in various environments, and …show more content…
The NVC “exercises” help me to better understand the importance of practicing non judgmental communication. By knowing there are unaddressed emotional needs hidden beneath the feelings people express, helps me be more sensitive to capture the subtle signals sent through emotions during the communication, and assist me try to identify people’s unmet needs and respond accordingly and effectively. This appears to be crucial when it comes to a conflict resolution. One lesson that I learned from NVC is that I need to be compassionate toward others as well as myself, unless I can identify my unmet emotional needs, then, I may learn to estimate others. I consider this as a necessary skill for a “transformation” type of leader. In order to inspire and motivate people, I need to know them as unique individuals with struggles, hopes and dreams. I hope that through my empathy and understanding as a leader can bring the best out others, and assist them to strife for better performance and achieve their goals as

Empirical research has described the phenomenon from different standpoints. It has also shown that the phenomenon is much more complex and heterogeneous than was thought in the 1980s. However, to advance knowledge and produce tools that are useful in practice, it has become necessary to establish theories that will generate more productive empirical research. Some effort at definition is therefore needed. The definition proposed here takes a constructivist stance, and is at the service of a research project— that of understanding or forecasting the entrepreneurial act and its success or failure, and defining more accurately the environmental conditions favourable to that act.
