OFFICIAL BOARD MEETING
SATURDAY June 1, 2013
The meeting was opened with singing “Tis So Sweet”. Scripture was read by Deaconess Connie Taylor who read Psalm 40:1-4 Prayer was given by Deacon Willie Brown. Testimonies were given by Deacon Howard Hinson and Deacon C.V. Wilson.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Howard Hinson. Attendance: Pastor Waller, Deacons: Howard Hinson Chairman, C.V. Wilson, Willie Brown and Chester Nicholes; Deaconesses: Dorothea Brown President, Mildred James, Denise Hinson, Evangeline DiCastanado and Connie Taylor. Absent Officers were; Dorothy Allen, Rodney Vincent, Karen Vincent and Marian Ladson.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Howard Hinson.
Minutes of Saturday May 4, 2013 was read. Motioned by Deacon Wilson, second by Deaconess James that the minutes be accepted with the necessary correction, if any. Motion carried.
Sis. Cheryl White was invited into the meeting to talk about her vision for Christian Counseling at Mt. Hebron.
Old Business
Delaware Property: On going.
Pastor Waller said that we need to look into having property taxes removed.
New Business
Deaconess Brown, spoke about Kenya DeShield have her room painted and would the church supply paint. With consent it was agreed that the church would supply the material.
Deaconess Brown said the Pastor Waller anniversary has to be change due to 1 week is holy week, 2nd Sunday is Palm Sunday, 3rd Sunday is Easter and 4th Sunday is Music Ministry annual day, date to be determined.
Deaconess Brown stated that Dere’ Williams cannot become the choir’s director until she receives the right hand of fellowship, which should be done in July.
Deaconess Brown said that she receive a call concern Rhoda Sutton. Sis Sutton fells that she should be the Mother of the church and that the church did not recognize her birthday. Deacon Wilson said that he would speak with her.
Deaconess Taylor said that Rev Cosby would like to start a youth bible study.
Pastor Waller replied that Rev. Cosby is out of order and he did not trust him. Rev. Cosby needs to speak with him first about any program that he wants to bring into the church. Deaconess Taylor asks Pastor Waller would he teach youth bible study. Pastor Waller said that he would pray about it.
Deaconess Taylor said that vacation bible school will start July 8-12 and donation of food or monetary gifts are needed.
Deaconess DiCastanado will be one of the teaching vacation bible school.
Pastor Waller said that he would like to change church meeting from July 20th to July 27th due to the church picnic.
Deacon Wilson ask Pastor Waller if he could start his vacation 1st Sunday in August after communion services.
With no other business coming before the Official Board it was motioned by Deaconess Brown, second by Deaconess DiCastanado to continue with the Joint Board Meeting. Motion carried.

SATURDAY JUNE 1, 2013
Meeting was called to order by Pastor Waller. Attendance; Pastor Waller; Deacons Howard Hinson Chairman, C.V. Wilson, Willie Brown and Chester Nicholes; Deaconesses Dorothea Brown President, Mildred James, Denise Hinson, Connie Taylor and Evangeline DiCastanado; Trustees Eleanor Poland Jones, Russell Watson and Harry Myers. Absent Officers; Deacon Rodney Vincent, Deaconesses Dorothy Allen, Karen Vincent and Marian Ladson; Trustees: Reaver Brown, Eleanor Saulsbury, Cecelia DeShields and Tara Major.
Minutes from Saturday May 4, 2013 was read by Church Clerk Denise Hinson.
Old Business
Status of Repairs: On going
Status of Delaware Property: On going
Deacon Hinson said that some of the trustees have been cross trained to do each other jobs. Chairman Hinson went on to say that Trustee Eleanor Jones knows how to do everybody job.
New Business
No financial report.
Deaconess Brown said that Chairman Hinson should not have to be assisting the trustees every Sunday.
A lengthy discussing went on about the trustees that are not attending.
Deacon Hinson said why now is everybody concern about the same trustees that have never attended meetings.
On June 2nd after morning service the Deacons will be meeting with Taneya Major and Anhjel Weaver about the changes made to the trustees, and with the trustees that do not attend the meeting.
Deacon Hinson said that it is cost affect having the van going out.
Trustee Jones said that there would be no City Wide trustee meeting for the month of June.
Trustee Myers said that Lorraine Baker is riding the church van holding the baby in her arm.
Pastor Waller said that he will call her concerning the not being in the van.
There will be no Official and Joint Board meeting until Sept 7, 2013.
July and August will start our early morning service.
Trustee Myers has agreed to become the Chairman of the Trustees Board.
With comment consent it was agreed that Trustee Myers would be the Chairman of the Trustees Board.
With no other business it was motioned by Deacon Wilson, second by Deaconess Dorothea Brown that the meeting be adjourned, Prayer by Trustee Russell Watson.
