On January 2, 1932 ten law enforcement officers got called in to report to the Young family's farm near Brookline, Missouri, to arrest two brothers, Harry and Jennings Young, for auto theft. The cops and two brothers had the worst single gun fighting. Harry and Jennings Young, killed six law enforced officers. These six officer were trying to arrest them just outside of Brookline, Missouri. Harry and Jennings Young are two small time thieves from their city. Six out of the ten police were killed and three were injured on January 2. The two brothers killed Sheriff Hendrix, Ollie Crosswhite, Wiley Mashburn, Tony Oliver, Patrolman Sidney Meadows and Officer Charley Houser. This is the highest number of law officers killed at a time.
