On-boarding

According to Ms. Ning, On-boarding for new employees in the company is very important. It make those new employees feel as if they are a part of a company. She mentioned that on the first day there will be supervisors bringing the new comers to get to know everyone in the center, for instance the supervisors will introduce them to their co-workers or even people in higher positions. This is not only applying for people who work in the same section as the new employees but different sections as well. For example, new employees will be working in accounting department, so this not mean they will get to know people in this department only but human resource, finance, etc. as well. After the new comers get to know people in the office, supervisors will also bring them to the car center. In the car center, there are many staffs, which mostly are blue-collar workers or migrant workers from Myanmar or Laos. Therefore, this mean even you’re working in the office, you will also get to know the car staffs. From this, we can see that they have an informal way, unlike most big companies who have both formal and informal one.
There is also a mini-tour around the center, to make the new employees feel more familiar with facilities, as the tour go by, the supervisors will give a brief information about the company, such as rules and regulation, mission and goals, culture of the company. Moreover, important information such as whom should new hire contact if new comers want to request for some specific leave or sick leave will be told by HR manager or supervisors too. As a result of On-boarding, this helps the company reduce the risk of new hires quitting the job. This process can help retain the new comers, which will reduce the time and cost when it is coming to start the new recruitment or selection process over again. Furthermore, the company also has a yearly trip, therefore this help new employees develop an understanding of who is who in the company. So, this event is making new comers feel more comfortable with current employees as well as their managers. This trip will make new employees feel welcome and please to work in the company. According to Ms. Ning, she given an example of her experience on a yearly trip to Huahin, the trip held for three days two nights, there was an ice-breaking game and many activities that made her interact with other people. Moreover, this let her have a chance to talk to those she is barely know, some games consider about teamwork as well.

Performance Management

Since Moly Car Care want to ensure the excellent service for customers, the evaluation process for employees is very significant. This will as well enhance the employees’ performance, which will help them perform the best of their abilities in order to achieve the goals. As mentioned earlier about two types of employees: white collar and blue collar, these two groups will be evaluating differently. The first group, which is the white-collar this group The second group, which is the blue collar; for this group Moly Car Care are using Behavioral Methods. To be specific, they are using Behavioral Checklist, this method works quite effective for blue-collar workers, the example question on the checklist includes following safety regulation, following company regulation, tends to be a active worker, and so forth.
