Open to students attending Barstow Community College with a cumulative GPS of 2.5 or higher.

Scholarship Requirements
Our purpose is to raise awareness of historic Route 66, the Route 66 Mother Road Museum’s involvement in the community showing accomplishments, present activities, and plans for the future. The Route 66 Mother Road Museum is internationally known and has earned a positive standing among historians, preservationists, educators, roadies, and tourists.
This application is open to students with cumulative GPS of 2.5 or higher and U.S. citizens.
Applicants must demonstrate an active interest in preservation and promotion of Route 66 by the following, one or combination, or other project relative to Route 66. Qualifications of eligible applicants will be under the following consideration:
1. Volunteer time at the Museum or write an essay. 2. Create exhibit relative to Route 66. 3. Develop timeline showing connection between the railroad and Route 66. 4. Interview and document history of business or family involved with Route 66. Photographs of then and now if still in existence is desirable.
Neatness, typed, creativity, presentation, enthusiasm, research, and documentation count toward the Route 66 Mother Road Museum Committee’s selection.

The Route 66 Mother Road Museum Committee will select and have the final decision on the applicant(s) to receive a scholarship. Scholarships are not guaranteed to be awarded. Those awarded must be used within the following year. Unused balance will be returned to the Museum for future awards.
