“BBBBUUUUZZ!” The doorbell rang.

It went on for a good half minute.

“Ugh, who could be ringing the doorbell at this time of day?” Angeli grumbled as she wearily got out off bed to answer the door.

“Good morning-!” A guy greeted cheerfully. Angeli, not knowing who was standing in front of her, was still in her jammies and had her eyes half-closed. She then felt a light slap on her cheek.

“What the?! First, you ring the doorbell early in the-” She ranted but stopped when her vision finally cleared and saw Harry standing on their doorstep.

“I never knew this was how lovely you looked in the morning.” Harry joked and let out a laugh as he let himself in. “You were saying?”

“What are you doing here? It’s 8 o’clock in the morning!” Angeli asked grumpily as she sat herself by the kitchen counter.

“I was wondering if you knew where Niall wandered off to last night.” Harry said.

“Niall? I don’t know. Wasn’t he with you guys last night?” Angeli asked, deciding to make herself some breakfast since she doubted she’d be getting anymore sleep.

“Um, yeah, he was. Thing is… I think I dozed off pretty early last night and then when I woke up, he wasn’t in his room so I thought he maybe went somewhere?”

“Harry?” A small shaky voice joined in the conversation.

“Mariah!” Harry smiled and Mariah’s eyes suddenly widened.

“Um, Mariah? Are you okay?” Angeli laughed as she nibbled on her breakfast sandwich.

“Yeah yeah, I’m okay. I look terrible and Harry’s here. It’s not that I care that Harry’s here, it’s that I don’t like being seen when I’ve recently just woke up.” Mariah stuttered.

“Oh don’t worry about it. I’ve seen worse.” Harry nodded to Angeli’s direction.

“Ha ha, very funny.” Angeli said, unimpressed with all the jokes Harry’s been saying about her since he stepped onto their flat.

“Just wait a second, yeah?” Mariah still look terrified.
“What’s with her?” Harry asked.

“Oh, I don’t know, Harry. Maybe she’s had a dream where you were naked and it just freaked her out. The last thing she probably needed right now was to see you. It was probably still fresh in her mind so she was probably still able to picture you naked.” I laughed.

“Niall!” Mariah whispered in a panic voice.

“Mmmo..r..e… p…lea..” Niall mumbled under his breath, still asleep.

“Niall!” Mariah repeated, now shaking him.

“Niall?” Angeli asked, standing by the door of Mariah’s room.

“Niall!” Harry said gladly.

“Ah, spaghetti!” Niall suddenly stood up from the floor and woke up.

“Where you been man?!” Harry asked, walking towards the direction of Niall and giving him a soft pat in the back.

Angeli and Mariah just stood there looking at eachother. Angeli was astonished. Mariah was terrified. Nobody had no clue what Niall was doing on Mariah’s bedroom floor. Harry was just glad to see Niall, knowing he wouldn’t need to ask more people about where they thought Niall would be.
“Oh my gosh, Niall! What are you doing on my bedroom floor?” Mariah asked, helping him up from the bedroom floor, hoping she could cover up what happened between them last night.

“What, huh? Didn’t we-” Niall said but Mariah cut him off.

“Oh no. Wait wait, did you get some last night, Niall?” Harry asked suspiciously and teased.

“Get some what?” Niall asked, trying to stand up straight as his head spun.

Meanwhile, Romy was still fast asleep in her room until she heard voices from outside. She checked her bedside clock. 8:30am. “Huh, I don’t remember having a party last night. Who could possibly be here?” She wondered as she stretched a few times before getting out of bed.

“Guys?” Romy said.

“We’ve got a new couple over here!” Angeli exclaimed.

“Oh my gosh, Angeli. You don’t have to shout it out loud! Stop it!” Mariah said as she giggled.

“What’s with that laugh?!” Harry laughed. Mariah was still all smiles as she approached Romy to explain it all to her since it totally looked like she needed it. She was lost.

“What, I was out for a few hours and then it’s like I missed a whole year of happenings? What happened with you and Niall?” Romy asked.

“You wouldn’t believe!” Mariah squealed and did little jumps.

“Oh my god did you finally have that eating contest you’ve been dying to have with him?!” Romy guessed sarcastically.

“No, stupid! We kissed. We kissed!”

“Shut up!” Romy said in disbelief as she hit her.

“Ow! What the hell! Yes, we did! I even have it on tape!” Mariah said and Romy stared at her. “Kidding.”

“Oh my god! How did it happen?!?!”
The night before…
“No, I think it’s not bad to have Redbull and cornflakes together as long as they’re eaten and drunk separately.” Mariah said.

Mariah and Niall were on the phone at late midnight discussing one of their favorite topics, food.

“What if we try it?! Redbull AND cornflakes together?” Niall said excitedly. “That’d be really cool.”

“You’re crazy, Niall.”

“Crazy for you, yeah, maybe.”

“What?”

“Wait. I’ll be there in a half hour. Wait up for me.” Niall said and hung up.

“But it’s-” But it was too late for Mariah to have said anything so she had no choice but to wait up for him to get to their flat.

A half hour later…
“Open the door” Niall texted.

“What?!” Mariah said shockingly but laughing as she saw Niall with grocery bags with Cornflakes and a few cans of redbull in them. “Niall, what the hell?”

“You’re welcome.” Niall said as he helped himself in the kitchen to create the ‘ultimate cereal recipe’ he and Mariah came up with.

“I’m not eating any of that.” Mariah reminded him.

“Nope, you are. I did not come all the way here past midnight to make this and have you not eat them.” Niall smiled as Mariah watched in disgust as he poured the Redbull in the bowl of cornflakes.

“You first.” Mariah said as Niall ate a spoonful.

“Wow. You will not believe it. It’s actually really good! ‘Ere, have some of it.” Niall said as he was about to feed Mariah. Niall was honestly disgusted with the taste of the ‘ultimate cereal recipe’ but lied anyhow for he wanted to see Mariah’s face when she finally tasted some herself and experienced the horrible taste.

“EW!” Mariah shouted and accidentally spat some on Niall’s shirt.

“Oh my god. That would’ve been real hilarious, your face. Until you spat some of it on me.” Niall said.

“I’m so sorry! You made me taste it! I told you I wasn’t going to have any of that. Eugh.” Mariah shivered as she looked at the bowl of cornflakes with Redbull and headed to the kitchen sink to rinse off the taste in her mouth.

“Here.” Mariah said, handing Niall a wet cloth. “There, better.”

As Mariah was heading over to the kitchen counter to throw the bowl of cereal they made, she tripped on something and it was the wet cloth Niall was using earlier. She almost fell butt first but Niall was as quick as a leprechaun to have caught her by the waist. They looked at each other for quite a while and as Mariah slowly got on her feet, Niall drew his face in closer to hers. Just an inch away from each other’s faces, Niall’s lips met Mariah’s but Mariah quickly pulled away and showed him the wet cloth she tripped over. “Your fault.” Mariah said shyly.

***

“Wait, technically you guys didn’t kiss. You pulled away! What the hell, Mariah?” Romy pointed out.

“I’m not done! I’m just getting there!” Mariah giggled.

***

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that. Sorry.” Niall apologized repeatedly.

“No, don’t be…” Mariah smiled as she looked into Niall’s eyes as he did with hers. Niall pulled Mariah closely by her waist and said, “I’ve liked you quite a while now. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, I’m just not-” Niall confessed as Mariah chuckled and put a finger on his lips as she held his head closer to his. They stared into each other’s eyes for a few more minutes when they finally, slowly, locked lips.

Djibouti Essay

...water supply problem is very acute. Indeed, all the water resources are unidentified and limited, since their availability depends on the rise in water levels. Moreover, the quality of the water collected is very variable in terms of salinity. The estimated capacity of Djibouti’s watertable is 13.5 million cubic meters per year and the operating flow is about 13.9 million cubic meters per year. This means that the city's water source is being overused, likely from boreholes located on the coastal areas. The study concluded by defining measures that need to be taken to gradually address these shortages, such as recourse to sea water desalinization through the reverse osmosis process. The country’s drinking water supply was ensured by ONED through boreholes, until May 2007. The drinking water supply population coverage rate was about 86% in urban areas and 42% in rural areas. Water is moved by backstreaming into storage tanks where it is chlorinated before being distributed through the city water supply. In urban areas, some of the households are not connected to the network and so get their water from public taps or piggy backing from neighbors’ homes, or purchasing it from tank trucks. In rural areas, the people sometimes have to travel long distances in order to obtain water, which they then have to transport back to thier homes. ...

Analysis of Silver Linings Playbook

...Emily Kraft, RN “Silver Linings Playbook” Review: Family Dynamics Trocaire College Everybody has a little bit of crazy in them right? The film Silver Linings Playbook is the perfect example of this statement. The movie was released in 2012 and was based on the novel The Silver Linings Playbook. The film was a blockbuster in the theaters along with winning countless Academy Awards and Golden Globe nominations. The Solitano family had many issues that were portrayed over time such as marriage problems, gambling, losing jobs, lying, mental problems, relationship problems; you name it and they had it. If it weren't for everyday common struggles among the average American family, people wouldn't know how to fight for their families or cope with the choices and consequences. I believe that these circumstances make us better and much stronger people, and we therefore, end up with stronger relationships within our family and friendships. Out of the list of films provided to choose from, I chose Silver Linings Playbook because I had heard many great things from fellow coworkers and friends. I'm surprised I hadn't watched it any sooner than I did. The film really showed me every individual within an average family lives day to day with internal struggles that are hard to overcome without the help of a support network. The main character, Pat Solitano Jr., who is played by Bradley Cooper, is a man with bipolar disorder who just left a psychiatric hospital in Maryland to return home...

History of Health Promotion

...Enhancing end-of-life care (EoLC) is a core component of international governments’ health policies. Across the globe, nurses make significant contributions to EoLC and, at this delicate time, have the power to positively influence the health and wellbeing of those facing death. Indeed, health promotion is a core component of the nurse’s role. Originating in the UK, EoLC pathways have been adopted around the world.Their broad aim is to optimise the quality of the dying process, enabling people to ‘die well’ across care settings. This paper examines EoLC pathways in terms of promoting health and wellbeing in this discrete stage of the dying trajectory. Concepts of health and health promotion are described briefly and the idea of health-promoting palliative care and its association with a good death examined. The ensuing discussion relates to two EoLC documents. While acknowledging that much has been achieved it is argued that, despite the potential for promoting health and wellbeing, a professionally led, biomedical approach predominates, and in terms of promoting health and wellbeing at the end of life there is a pressing need for proactive advance care planning at an earlier point in the illness trajectory. Key words: End-of-life care l Care pathways l Terminal care l Health promotion Michael Allen is Staff Nurse, Chemotherapy Day Unit, Singleton Hospital, Abertawe Bro- Morgannwg University Hospital Board, Swansea, Wales; Tessa Watts is Senior Lecturer, Swansea University,...

A leak of methyl isocyanate gas and other chemicals from the plant resulted in the exposure of hundreds of thousands of people. The toxic substance made its way in and around the shantytowns located near the plant.[2] Estimates vary on the death toll. The official immediate death toll was 2,259 and the government of Madhya Pradesh has confirmed a total of 3,787 deaths related to the gas release.[3] Others estimate 3,000 died within weeks and another 8,000 have since died from gas- related diseases.[4][5] A government affidavit in 2006 stated the leak caused 558,125 injuries including 38,478 temporary partial and approximately 3,900 severely and permanently disabling injuries.[6] UCIL was the Indian subsidiary of Union Carbide Corporation (UCC), with Indian Government controlled banks and the Indian public holding a 49.1 percent stake. In 1994, the Supreme Court of India allowed UCC to sell its 50.9 percent share. Union Carbide sold UCIL, the Bhopal plant operator, to Eveready Industries India Limited in 1994. The Bhopal plant was later sold to McLeod...
