Online advertising, the scourge of the computer world.

Even though internet advertising is highly annoying; Pop ups, pay per clicks and spam mail has flooded the online world, -in a very disturbing way-. To illustrate the problem in question, let’s begin with the pop ups. Every other website uses this type of advertising in a desperate attempt to attract visitors. Pop ups has gained much popularity because of its capacity to attract the eyes. In the instance one of this pop ups “pops” in our screen, it catch our attention and immediately gets a reaction (to at least close the pop up window). In the beginning pop up advertising was kind of “cool”, -like any other novelty-, then soon became a dirty phrase. In terms of the content, pop ups are very unpredictable, they range from: “semiannual sale” to “hot singles are waiting for you”. It is no wonder why today there are many companies that specialize in preventing the unwanted pop ups. Not having enough of these, let’s talk about “pay per clicks” (another way of waste our time). This is a concept where advertisers come up with “keywords” they think will lead internet users to their websites. All it takes is type a specific word in a search engine, to leads us to linked websites that lacks in substance for the intended search. In the mean time somebody is getting paid every time we mistakenly “click” in one of this websites. At last, (but not least), is the “spam mail”; that simply is: advertising in a mail form. In the last couple of years, spam mail has become the most terrible headache of email users on the web. Email providers have developed protection against it, trying to reduce the discomfort all the junk mail produce. I personally receive more junk mail -that goes straight to the spam folder- than real, substantial mail. Again, having to waste my time, deleting and avoiding unwanted propaganda. It is
