2.1.1 Speaking
In most cases, people who learn English usually want to be able to speak and communicate in English. One of the language skills that they want to acquire is speaking. Hadfield (2000) stated that “speaking is a kind of bridge for learners between the classroom and the world outside”. Liying Cheng and Curtis (2004) stated that the effective communication is more that the ability to talk, it is like that the ability to make understand people what we said. The study aimed to investigated whether guided oral presentation and free oral presentation can develop Iranian EFL and checked if there was any significant difference between free and guided oral presentations in learning speaking skill among pre-intermediate EFL learners' speaking skill. The researchers use pre test of speaking of the oral group were taught by employing free oral presentation and the treatment took 12 session of 45 minutes. The study is aimed to integrate the students’ assessment in the evaluation of their oral presentations in German as a Foreign Language, at the Universitat Politècnica de València. The researcher use peer and self-assessment. Data was collected according to the various presentations. This study describes the quantitative results of peer evaluation throughout the term and the qualitative feedback they provided. These patients have 8% to 25% risk of developing VAP, and the risk increases by as much as 1% per ventilator day (CDC, 2015). VAP is considered a serious problem, because it extends hospital stay by 6 days or more, has substantial cost implications of up to $40,000 per patient episode, and is associated with significant morbidity and mortality rates (CDC, 2015).
