(A) Describe Teow’s personality and leadership style. How does it foster or hinder his effort to transform CCN into a healthy and productive organization?
The personality suit to Mr Teow is extraversion and conscientiousness. Extraversion is the person with energy, positive emotions, assertiveness, sociability, talkativeness and excitability. The person is extraversion they take pleasure in activities that involve large social gatherings, such as parties, community activities, public demonstrations, and business or political groups. An extraverted person is likely to enjoy time spent with people and find less reward in time spent alone. They tend to be energized when around other people, and they are more prone to boredom when they are by themselves. In this case, Mr Teow leads all the employees to taking parts in all the organized activities. In the activity he will take part and socialize with other employees and bond the relationship. Besides that, conscientiousness is also one of the personality of Mr Teow, conscientiousness is the person is organized, how disciplined, he can also describe how careful a person is in certain situation. Mt Teow has his own goal to make sure his employees are healthy through Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) program initiated by him but the respond of the participant only 10 percent of the employees, since only 10 percent participant but he still continuously works on improving the policies to better integrate workplace health promotion within the organization culture. .
His leadership style is employee oriented as he strongly believes that employee is the priority of the company. As it makes sense the work quality will be improved with efficient and contented employees. Not only that with his extrovert personality his effort to achieve the goal has become reality.
