Case Study 1: The Case of the Wedding Ring
After go through to the case of the wedding ring , the best decision making model that the women should choose is by using the behavioral decision making model where this women is preparing for a job interview.
This behavioral decision making model is apply when she have a dilemma either she should or should not wear a diamond engagement ring. This woman really want the job however, she thinks that the company has a stereotype perception towards her marital status whereby married woman cannot give the commitment to do their work in the organization.
Therefore, this women should used behavioral decision making model to make a decision because she did not has complete information about the organization culture and whereby she need use her intuitive judgment as the situation she had face is not the routine decision.
Case Study 2: Wellness or Invasive Coercion?
In this case, the CEO Jim Hagedorn used classical decision model where he acting rationally to have a wellness program and anti-smoking campaign to improve health of employees and reduce health care cost for the firm.
This case happens in Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Marysville, Ohio that involved the Scotts human resources policies. There are complaints from employee where the policy is intrusive. The corporate executives are concerned about rising health-care cost to employee who fail to take extensive health risk assessments.
CEO Jim Hagedom used classical decision model because of, he have complete information regarding dangerous of smoking that may lead to health problem of their employee. Therefore, he will not hire a smoker after failing a drug test for nicotine.

We can assume that being a CEO of a company would give a person power and control over the company to a certain extent. Rhonda Clark experienced some resistance from her staff when she became CEO. Below will be a discussion of “A model of Power in organizations” that relate to Rhonda’s situation. Legitimate power “Is an agreement among organizational members that people in certain roles can request certain behaviors of others” (McShane and Glinow, 2010, p.302). Although this distinction has clarified some confusion in the literature, it remains unclear (a) which trust antecedents have the strongest relationships with trust and (b) whether trust fully mediates the effects of trustworthiness and trust propensity on behavioral outcomes. Our meta-analysis of 132 independent samples summarized the relationships between the trust variables and both risk taking and job performance (task performance, citizenship behavior, counterproductive behavior). Meta-analytic structural equation modeling supported a partial mediation model wherein trustworthiness and trust propensity explained incremental variance in the behavioral outcomes when trust was controlled. Further analyses revealed that the trustworthiness dimensions also predicted affective commitment, which had unique relationships with the outcomes when controlling for trust. These results generalized across different types of trust measures (i.e., positive expectations measures, willingness-to-be-vulnerable measures, and direct measures) and different trust referents (i.e., leaders, coworkers). ...BOB KNOWLTON CASE MBA 633: Case #2 Bellevue University December 18, 2012 DESCRIPTION This case centers on Bob Knowlton, a newly appointed project head who was promoted through a former project leader, Dr. Jerrold. Everything was going well for Knowlton until a new and brilliant addition was added to the team, Simon Fester. DIAGNOSIS The cause of the problem in this case is Knowlton’s passive characteristics. As project leader, Knowlton sees that there is tension building within the group as a result of Fester’s determination. Throughout the case we are confronted with many instances where Fester’s initiative to achieve results causes Knowlton to feel threatened and aggravated. Instead of acting as a leader and confronting the distracting nature of Fester’s behavior, Knowlton simply nods his head and agrees with everything that transpires. Fester is simply continuing his prevalent path because he feels that he is contributing progress to the project. This entire scenario could be remedied if Knowlton were to step up to the plate and act in a fashion that is consistent with his job title, leader. No one is going to hold Knowlton’s hand and correct the Fester dilemma, because it is Knowlton’s job to administer action. THEORY When provided the opportunity to confront Fester’s theories and group cooperation, Knowlton became a victim to his own passive behavior.
