In my career field human resource management is a broad field, but very complicated. I serve in the United States Air Force. Everything from our recruiting to job placement, and EEO is much different than the civilian sector. We discipline under the laws of the country, but also have our own set of laws called the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. The military was desegregated in July of 1948. This allowed African Americans the right to serve their country. In today’s economy the military has not been left untouched by today’s current conditions. Money strains have cost the military to change the way we do business as far as benefits and compensations. With all the cut backs safety and health will never waiver from the standards that has been enforced since the beginning of operations. Human resource will really help me in the evaluation of my troops. There are many other areas Human Resource management will affect my day to day thought process and decision making going forward.
In the military we have countless rules, keep thousands of records, and policies. We demand that all these aspects of the job to be followed with no exception. Even though we expect and demand the most out of our airmen, in return we take care of each other like a tight knit family. As a Non Commission Officer I have to know the person of each of my troops and surrounding troops I may not supervise directly. As a Non Commission Officer my job is to mold a well rounded airmen who is competent and capable of accomplishing any goal within their means in an timely, efficient and effective manner. An average work morning begins with roll call. At this meeting we discuss the past days activities and today’s plans. This is the perfect spot to give some type of motivation to all troops being that everyone is in formation waiting for the days plans or our organizations objectives. I normally try

Everything from small, mom and pop businesses to huge organizations need change to stay on top of things and successful. It’s necessary to keep the customers or clientele happy. I worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement for four years, and in those four years many things were changed within the company from a corporate level down to the store level. Most of the time, things would be on a trial basis and there would be a test store to try out these new ideas before the changes were rolled out in every store.
