The development of any criteria identifying causes with a potential risks. Correcting on any problem areas and implementing a program that designed for reducing risks.

Each state has their own legislation of risk management. This mandates are specifically designed to interrelate with other hospital environment. They are focused on preventions and minimizing risks to the patients. Nevertheless, they adhere to the professional certification requirements and the JCAHO standards. Local city often adopts the state requirements and federal regulations and they include water purification, reporting of tuberculosis or any communicable diseases of a sensitive in nature and etc.
