P1, M1, D1; Describe at least 3 methods of communication between staff at SFX.
One method of communication between staff at SFX is the weekly meetings that are held to update knowledge about what is going on around the college and within the faculty, it also is informing staff of future events and developments within the faculty and college. These meetings use verbal communication and are held by the head of faculty.
Another method of communication between staff at SFX are Emails that are regularly sent out to invite support for activities that are held and also to update knowledge and inform staff quickly about any situations in the college. These emails are on screen and are usually sent out by colleagues, heads of departments or heads of faculty.
The third method of communication that is frequently used at SFX are the letters that are sent out to inform parents and students of things that may be of concern, to praise a student or even to inform parents of upcoming events in the college. Letters are a written source of communication and are not really used between staff unless extremely necessary.

One method of communication that is used at SFX is the invitation to the SFX open day, this is used to invite support for the event and to show off the potential at the college. This method of communication is written and commenced on Saturday 10th October between 10am and 2pm.
Another method of communication used frequently at SFX is the Student dash board which gives not only students but staff also the chance to view daily updates within the college, it also informs them on future developments. This is a source of curriculum and is constantly web based.
The third method of communication is the ILP day at SFX which informs students on how they are doing here at SFX. The last ILP day was held on the 22nd September in the students tutor group. The meeting would be with your personal tutor and was a verbal source of communication.
Lastly the fourth source of communication would be the student contract that is signed at the the beginning of the year to ensure that the rules of SFX are known to each and every student and so that they also understand the way SFX is run. This document is signed and given in on the Enrolment day of Thursday the 3rd September 2015, its purpose is to update knowledge and is given to the personal tutor. This is a written source of communication.
