1. The PTCE is the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam; the test for pharmacy technician certification.
2. No two test are the same.
3. The goal of PTCB certification is to have a standard for pharmacy technicians. If all practicing pharmacy technicians pass an exam that test for all aspects of pharmacy then it can help insure patient safety.
4. A high school diploma or equivalent and a passing PTCE score are needed. A background check (criminal disclosure) and state board registration are also needed. You must also comply to all PTCB certification policies.
5. Each test taker has 2 hours to take the exam. (questions along with tutorial and survey questions).
6. There are 80 graded questions and 10 ungraded questions.
