Paragliding is a perfect adventure for tourist since it is fun, exciting and relatively easy way to fly. It is a sport in which a person jumps from a high place and uses a special kind of parachute to float in the air. As an adventurous tourist, they seek on extreme activities to conquer their fears in high places like in Carmona Cavite. Paragliding activities in Carmona started when a paraglider discovered the Main fly site in Carmona, Cavite . Paragliding in Carmona is very dependent on the wind coming from Laguna de Bay. It is also a best place for paragliding activities because it has an area space that has less buildings and a best spot to see the aerial view of the place. In addition to that, it is highly advisable to try this activity in the morning for the tourist to enjoy the view of the sunrise while on the air.Adventure tourism is already present in the Philippines such as whitewater rafting, mountaineering, spelunking, surfing and paragliding. Paragliding in the Philippines is really rare and something that is new to our ears. Philippines have lot to offer not only different breathtaking places and outstanding services but also a sport like paragliding. However, paragliding is a dangerous recreational activity and one of the issues and concerns on this sport is its safety and security. This is the reason why the researchers has decided to conduct different assessments focusing on the safety and security of the paragliding activities rather than conducting a research of its potential as an adventure tourism site. This study aims to contribute in the government, to the local community and to the tourism industry of the Philippines. | The study is concerned on the safety and security of paragliding activity as an adventure tourism in Carmona, Cavite. Specifically, it aims: * To determine the demographic profiles of the paragliders and locals of Carmona, Cavite in terms of age, gender, purpose, frequency and daily allowance. * To assess the safety and security of the tourist of the paragliding activities in Carmona, Cavite. * To identify the significant relationship of safety and security of the paragliding activities to the demographic profile. | The descriptive method of research will be used for this study, in order to describe the topic by the help of data gathering and result formulation. The primary sources will be done through distribution of survey concerned on determining the demographic profile of the respondents which is the paragliders and locals in order to assess the safety and security of the paragliding activity in Carmona, Cavite. In addition to that, the assessment of the safety and security of the activity as an adventure tourism site aims to help it’s municipality to develop the place and make necessary actions to attract more tourist. | This study will be administered on Carmona, Cavite and has the projected timetable attached below to finish the study. The respondents will be identified as the locals and paragliders of Carmona, Cavite. The center of this study will be the assessment of the safety and security of the said activity based on the perception of the respondents and on the other resources that the researchers will gather. | The study will use primary data that will be gathered by distributing questionnaires to the respondents using the simple random sampling technique. This will be accompanied by interviews to be done by the researchers to the respondents. Gathering of secondary data will be gathered from different sources such as magazines, books, and articles online that will further explain the topic. |
