Europe, Asia, and Africa began to experience a period of time when peace and prosperity spread throughout the land. Population and culture begun to increase because of the impact it had. This was known as Pax Romana which started in the year 27 BCE. Since this occurred many characteristics of Europe also became well known such as trade, law, religion, and even architecture. Pax Romana was a very influential and important time period which impacted these continents.

To begin with, Europe was affected by Pax Romana economically by trade. In document 1, a map was shown of western Europe’s resources and routes used to trade with other cities. The majority of goods consisted of minerals and agriculture. Since many of the resources were spread throughout the land we know that Pax Romana caused this to happen. Many trade routes and roads were present too which established that the Europeans were fine with trading through water and land. This also showed that they were all peaceful with each other and resources were dispersed well. In document 4, buildings and bridges were able to be built since everyone was peaceful and no war took place. These were built to help the Romans economically, religiously, and for entertainment. Aqueducts were built in this period as a bridge and to help channel water. This was also going to bring water from the overland to cities and farms. The Pantheon was a very important building which was built by Hadrian in 126 AD. It was known as a temple for Gods in Rome which included many columns and domes. Finally, the Colosseum was built also by Hadrian. This huge architecture was used as a theatre which amplified the sound when others spoke during plays and entertainment.
