...Program Planning and Evaluation PEACE Domestic Violence Agency Program Planning and Evaluation Plan Introduction Program planning and evaluation are important to the grant writing process because it helps us lay out what the specific goals are for the program we are trying to fund. ...Evaluation Plan PEACE Domestic Violence Agency’s main purpose is to provide victim support and shelter, victim advocacy and education, and empower those who are directly or indirectly affected by domestic violence. To continue helping the many who suffer from domestic abuse, PEACE Domestic Violence Agency will develop an evaluation plan to assess the program services and the effects those program services have on participant’s lives. The purpose of the evaluation is so PEACE can either show means for improvement on provided program services or show means for eradicating the program service all together. The decision to eradicate a provided service or implement improvements is the primary purpose of the assessment. The evaluation plan that PEACE Domestic Violence Agency will employ is a project-wide evaluation with empowerment approach. This particular evaluation plan compliments the domestic violence program offered by the agency due to the amount of concentration put upon the purpose of the program and also provides a structured framework for the programs future success. A project-wide evaluation plan involves the program staff in the evaluation development and implementation process, thus enabling them to feel empowered. ...HSM/270 Scenario Evaluation Plan The purpose of the PEACE Domestic Violence Agency is to promote a sense of security, support, and empowerment for individuals and families who are affected by domestic violence. To continue helping those who suffer from domestic abuse, the PEACE agency will develop an evaluation plan using a simple framework design. This agency wants to assess the work it is performing, and the reason for evaluation is it wants to know the effects its services have on people’s lives. The program wants to improve upon those efforts, but does not want to continue to exert time and resources into efforts which are not helpful. The evaluation plan the PEACE Domestic Violence Agency will use will be a project-wide evaluation using the empowerment approach. This form of evaluation plan will work perfectly with the agency’s domestic violence program because it concentrates on the purpose of the program and provides structure for the big picture. In addition, it involves program staff in the evaluation development and implementation, which enables them to feel empowered. The first step in developing this type of plan is to “identify the answer to the big question” (Yuen & Terao, 2003, p.53) which, in the case of the PEACE agency, is whether or not the incidents of domestic violence can be reduced and how. Another question could be whether or not educating people about domestic violence can play a key role in preventing it. This evaluation plan...

...will tell you if the programs missions and goals have been achieved or not. PEACE Domestic Violence agencies have a purpose, and the purpose of the Peace Domestic Violence Agency is helping provide the victims with support, shelter, advocacy and education. Giving the victims and those who are affected by domestic violence empowerment will also help them to break away from the abuse. There is a wide range of evaluations that can be used, and it would be best to do some research on the different types to see what works best for the agency or organization. The evaluation plan that would work best for the PEACE Domestic Violence Agency would be a project-wide evaluation with an empowerment approach. A project-wide evaluation will work with the agency's domestic violence program because it not only involves the victims it also involves the staff in the evaluation development and implementation processes. With PEACE being committed to reducing domestic violence and sexual assaults, they can do that by educating the victims and the community. Education will help make a difference in lowering the number of cases of sexual assaults and domestic violence in the community. ...purpose of the plan that is to be submitted. (Yuen & Terao, 2003). If there is not a plan, it is virtually impossible for this agency to have a favorable grant proposal. (Yuen & Terao, 2003). Grant proposals are set to have logic when thinking and have some enthusiasm when it comes to the objective. (Yuen & Terao, 2003). ...Influences within Public Programs Paper Introduction There is a growing epidemic of domestic violence for women and their spouses or significant others that have been a debated issue for decades, one out of every ten women are reporting domestic violence incidents, from urban decay communities across the nation yearly. The minimalist versus maximalist theory’s has been the primary discussion for victimization in criminology where one perspective decides to look at more variations for the violence, and the other takes the crimes to the necessary degree to provide of government legislatures (NCVC, 2010). With today’s society modernized through time, Americans understand the existing problems of sexual exploitation and violence that is an ineluctable dilemma in society. The cases of domestic violence increase to more than fifty thousand lives which are from violent episode reports. Many victims are in urban communities that have subsidized housing that endure the abuse of their significant other to avoid being evicted if the landlord is alerted of any disturbances involving the tenant. This is a requirement of the public housing assistance program that women receive with low income called Section 8. These women fear reporting the violence against them because there are not many places to go, so they stay and, endure the domestic violence. For the women who do have the strength and courage to report these crimes they are forced to search for refuge in local homeless...

...Grant Proposal about Domestic Violence Shannoya Jones University of Phoenix 4/12/15 Society only talks about women being abused and not men because it’s a trend man always the one in action. According to (help guide 2015), Emotional abuse includes verbal abuse such as yelling, name-calling, blaming, and shaming. Isolation, intimidation, and controlling behavior also fall under emotional abuse. Additionally, abusers who use emotional or psychological abuse often throw in threats of physical violence or other repercussions if you don’t do what they want you may think that physical abuse is far worse than emotional abuse, since physical violence can send you to the hospital and leave you with scars. But, the scars of emotional abuse are very real, and they run deep. In fact, emotional abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse sometimes even more so. Therefore domestic violence is left women, and men scar for life. First, women always become a weak link to man because they either grow up seeing it or afraid of being hurt. For example, domestic violence also called intimate partner violence that occurs between people in an intimate relationship. Men are sometimes abused by partners, but domestic violence is most often directed toward women and heterosexual or same-sex relationships. It might not be easy to identify domestic violence at first while some relationships are clearly abusive from the outset, abuse often starts subtly and gets worse over time. You might be experiencing...

...Program Planning and Evaluation Program Planning and Evaluation In the article Peace Domestic Violence Agency, the mission and funding opportunity provide a relational base to tackle needs of domestically abused victims (Dunham, 2008). The document expounds on the necessities required, planning, and assessment, together with evaluation of the abused victims. Human service organizations take us through the urgent needs and requirements tackled when there is a domestic abuse case. There are two aspects involved during this development, that is, the program planning and the program evaluation procedures. Comparison of program planning with program evaluation Program planning, in the Peace Domestic Violence Agency article is a development process that coordinates and facilitates change in identified need and problems while program evaluation entails research purposes rather than involving research methods (Dunham, 2008). In addition, program planning involves an assessment of what has happened and what should have happened while program evaluation handles incorporation into the program planning process to provide a continuous program performance assessment, thus boosting efficiency in human service organizations (Dunham, 2008). In the article Peace Domestic Violence Agency, program planning is related to needs assessment and program evaluation (Dunham, 2008). ...PEACE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGENCY GRANT PROPOSAL Albert McCrae September 13, 2015 Amy Tardy Overview PEACE Domestic Violence Agency came about as the result of a friend that came to office after an abusive incident occurred in their home. After discussing the length of time the altercations had been happening, it was suggested that my friend get professional help. Being a guidance counselor, some phone calls were made and there was no type of shelter available nearby that would take my friend and her two small children in. They suggested she contact relatives to help. In this case my friend has no relatives nearby and was on her own. I decided to take her in until we could figure out what to do. In checking into what help was available in our urban area, the nearest shelter for women was over 50 miles away. Since my friend was working full time and could not commute that distance, it was agreed that she would stay with me until she could save funds to move out on her own. A lawyer was obtained and since the couple was unmarried, the relationship was dissolved eventually with visitation rights for the father a single weekend a month in a public place (mall, children’s play center, etc.) with a social worker nearby because of the violent tendencies of the father (Genesis Women’s Shelter, 2009). After going through this difficult and distressing situation with my friend, I decided to return to school and work on a degree in this area. Soon...
