BAB I PENDAHULUAN

A.Latar belakang

Anak muda dan nongkrong adalah dua hal yang sudah melekat. Di sekolah-sekolahusai jam pelajaran, di kampus-kampus di antara jam kuliah, bahkan di kantor-kantor sepulang jam kantor, Anda akan mudah menjumpai kelompok-kelompok anak muda yang duduk-duduk nongkrong. Topik obrolan bisa dari ujung ke ujung. Dari rapat membicarakan kegiatanatau kepanitiaan, mendiskusikan topik-topik yang dianggap serius, atau hanyasekadar membuang waktu sambil ngegossip atau malah main kartu. Bagi anak muda,nongkrong itu yang terpenting adalah adanya kedekatan afeksi dengan teman-teman peergroup. Faktor lainnya jadi pendukung. Mau di lantai teras ruang kuliah, selasar kampus,atau sekadar di tembok beton yang bisa ditongkrongi, di manapun mereka merasa nyamanberada dengan teman-temannya, disitulah kegiatan nongkrong bisa berlangsung berjam-jam.Kebiasaan Nongkrong tidak juga salah artikan sebagai kebiasaan yang bersifatnegatif.Nongrong juga memiliki segi positifnya.Dengan adanya nongkrong kita bisa tauperkembangan informasi di lingkungan kampus.

B.Fokus Masalah

Nongkrong bukan lagi milik pengangguran, tukang copet, preman sudut terminal atau juga anak gaul. Semua orang sudah mulai suka nongkrong. Di kalangan gadget freak, istilah ini bisa saja diartikan ngumpul di satu tempat, entah itu café, restoran atau pojok rumahmakan sembari membicarakan gadget terbaru. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menfokuskan pada kebiasaan nongkrong anak muda Surabaya dalam range umur 17 – 30 tahun.

C. Rumusan Masalah

Dari pembatasan makna yang sudah ada maka dapat dirumuskan permasalahansebagai berikut:

1. Di manakah tempat nongkrong yang digemari anak muda Surabaya ?

2. Apa saja yang menjadi motivasi mereka untuk nongkrong di luar rumah ?

3. KERANGKA TEORI

Pengertian Teori adalah serangkaian bagian atau variabel, definisi, dan bukti yang saling berhubungan, menghadirkan sebuah pandangan sistematis mengenai fenomena dengan menentukan hubungan antar variabel, teori bermaksud menjelaskan fenomena alamiah.

Contoh kasus :

Nongkrong sekarang sudah menjadi kebiasaan anak sekolah sepulang sekolah. Baik nongkrong diwarung maupun nongkrong dipinggir jalan. Kalau pun nongkrong dipinggir jalan untuk menunggu bis atau ankot sih gak masalah tapi terkadang nongkrong dipinggir jalan hanya untuk iseng-iseng. Padahal lebih baik waktu mereka gunakan buat belajar dirumah.

5. PENGUMPULAN DATA

Pada kegiatan penelitian ini kami menggunakan 2 metode yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitaf. Adapun pengertian yang telah kami pahami dari metode metode tersebut yaitu :
1. Kuesioner Kuesioner adalah Teknik pengumpulan informasi yang memungkinkan analis mempelajari sikap-sikap, keyakinan, perilaku, dan karakteristik beberapa orang utama di dalam organisasi yang bisa terpengaruh oleh sistem yang diajukan atau oleh sistem yang sudah ada. Dengan menggunakan kuesioner, analis berupaya mengukur apa yang ditemukan dalam wawancara, selain itu juga untuk menentukan seberapa luas atau terbatasnya sentimen yang diekspresikan dalam suatu wawancara.

Kuestioner sendiri dibedakan menjadi empat, yaitu : • Kuesioner Terstruktur Yang Terbuka Tingkat struktur dalam kuesioner adalah tingkat standarisasi yang diterapkan pada suatu kuesioner. Pada kuesioner terstruktur yang terbuka dimana pertanyaanpertanyaan diajukan dengan susunan kata-kata dan urutan yang sama kepada semua responden ketika mengumpulkan data. Contoh: Apakah anda merasa bahwa Negara kita membutuhkan lebih banyak atau lebih sedikit peraturan perundang-undangan mengenai antipolusi? o Membutuhkan lebih banyak o Membutuhkan lebih sedikit o Tidak lebih maupun kurang o Tidak memberikan pendapat Pertanyaan diatas merupakan contoh yang baik tentang pertanyaan terstruktur yang terbuka, karena: pertama, tujuannya jelas, pertanyaan diatas berusaha untuk menentukan sikap subjek terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan antipolusi dengan cara yang langsung. Kedua, pertanyaan diatas menggunakan format yang sangat terstruktur, para responden dibatasi untuk memilih salah satu diantara empat jawaban.

Kuesioner Tak Terstruktur Yang Terbuka Kuesioner tak terstruktur yang terbuka dimana tujuan studi adalah jelas tetapi respon atau jawaban atas pertanyaan yang diajukan bersifat terbuka. Perhatikan pertanyaan berikut: “Bagaimana pendapat anda mengenai polusi dan perlunya lebih banyak lagi peraturan perundang-undangan antipolusi?” Pertanyaan diatas mempunyai tujuan yang jelas. Selanjutnya pewawancara mencoba untuk membuat subjek berbicara dengan bebas mengenai sikapnya terhadap polusi. Hal ini merupakan pertanyaan dengan tujuan terbuka, dan seringkali berakhir dengan wawancara yang sangat tidak terstruktur.

• Kuesioner Tidak Terstruktur Yang Tersamar Kuesioner tidak terstruktur yang tersamar berlandaskan pada riset motivasi. Para periset telah mencoba untuk mengatasi keengganan responden untuk membahas perasaan mereka dengan cara mengembangkan teknik-teknik yang terlepas dari masalah kepedulian dan keinginan untuk membuka diri. Teknik tersebut dikenal dengan metode proyektif. Kekuatan utama dari metode proyektif adalah untuk menutupi tujuan utama riset dengan menggunakan stimulus yang disamarkan. Metode proyektif merupakan cara yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan kuesioner yang mengandung stimulus yang memaksa para subjek untuk menggunakan emosi, kebutuhan, motivasi, sikap, dan nilai-nilai yang dimilikinya sendiri dalam memberikan suatu jawaban atau respon. Stimulus yang paling sering digunakan adalah asosiasi kata, kelengkapan kalimat, dan bercerita atau penuturan cerita.

• Kuesioner Terstruktur Yang Tersamar Kuesioner terstruktur yang tersamar merupakan teknik yang paling jarang digunakan dalam riset pemasaran. Kuesioner ini dikembangkan sebagai cara untuk menggabungkan keunggulan dari penyamaran dalam mengungkapkan motif dan sikap dibawah sadar dengan keunggulan struktur pengkodean serta tabulasi jawaban. Sebagai contoh, salah satu teori menyatakan bahwa pengetahuan, persepsi, dan ingatan individu akan suatu subjek disesuaikan oleh sikapnya terhadap subjek tersebut. Jadi untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai sikap seseorang apabila pertanyaan langsung akan menghasilka jawaban yang bias, teori ini menyarankan agar kita hanya menanyakan hal-hal yang mereka ketahui, bukan apa pendapat mereka. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan yang lebih banyak mungkin mencerminkan kekuatan dan arah dari suatu sikap. Misalnya, para pendukung partai demokrat mungkin mengetahui lebih banyak tentang calon-calon dari partai demokrat dan platform partai itu daripada mereka yang akan memilih partai golkar.

2. Wawancara Wawancara sangat penting dalam dunia jurnalistik. Wawancara adalah tanya-jawab dengan seseorang untuk mendapatkan keterangan atau pendapatnya tentang suatu hal atau masalah. Wawancara sering dihubungkan dengan pekerjaan jurnalistik untuk keperluan penulisan berita yang disiarkan dalam media massa. Namun wawancara juga dapat dilakukan oleh pihak lain, untuk keperluan, misalnya, pnelitian atau penerimaan agama. Orang yang melakukan wawancara dinamakan pewawancara (interviewer) dan orang yang diwawancarai dinamakan pemberi wawancara (interviewee) atau juga disebut responden. Wawancara juga dapat diartikan sebagai pertukaran informasi, opini, atau pengalaman dari satu orang ke orang lain. • Jenis Wawancara

1. Man in the street interview. Untuk mengetahui pendapat umum masyarakat terhadap isu/persoalan yang akan diangkat jadi bahan berita. 2. Casual interview. Wawancara mendadak. Jenis wawancara yang dilakukan tanpa persiapan/ perencanaan sebelumnya. 3. News interview. Wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi dari sumber yang mempunyai kredibilitas atau reputasi di bidangnya.

Tujuan Wawancara Tujuan seseorang melakukan wawancara adalah : 1. Mengumpulkan informasi yang lengkap, akurat dan adil. 2. Menciptakan hubungan yang baik diantara dua belah pihak yang terlibat (subjek wawancara dan pewawancara). 3. Meredakan ketegangan yang terdapat dalam subyek wawancara. 4. Mendorong kea rah pemahaman diri pada pihak subyek wawancara. 5. Mendorong ke arah penyusunan kegiatan yang konstruktir pada subjek wawancara.

• Responden semuanya berjenis kelamin pria dan wanita • Responden ada (SMA,KERJA,KULIAH) • Responden berumur rata rata dari 17-30 tahun
