Fellow citizens of the world, lets make the world a better place for you and for me, for this is and should continue to be the cardinal reason for our coming together. The government issues rules and laws and regulations to govern the realm as well as relationship with other nations, bilaterally and multilaterally. economic, social and religious interest are factors that affects the making of these laws, rules and regulation and its interpretation and implementation locally and internationally which often results to conflict and war hence there comes need to proffer solution for peaceful coexistence in this world we have found ourselves. Peace and Justice

...Global Peace and Justice Begins at Home. Wars are everywhere. Wars define destruction. Not only does it destroy the Earth and whatnot but what a lot of us, naive people do not realise is that it also destroys the pure innocent minds of the little, chaste children. Many of us people misunderstand the concept of opening the minds of the kids to wars. The main reason why we do so is to make sure that the kids would not start any wars and let the peace on Earth sustain. Without realising the consequences, the erroneous thing that people do now is to open the minds of these children to the basic ways of starting a war. Global peace is a personal choice, hour by hour. Ask yourself, "Am I going to add to the fighting in the world? Or offer up something greater?" If you want to obtain peace, then start changing the world by changing the ways you teach these children. They are supposed to be playing hopscotch, filling in colouring books, having pets, playing hide and seek. What happened to that? I no longer see kids doing these things. Based on what I see on the Internet, parents are starting to neglect their responsibilities and instead of teaching their children good things, they are literally teaching them stuff like how to use a gun and how to use army knives. Despite the fact that these kids are still too small to be carrying out these type of activities, they are also too gullible to barely even think about the ramification of learning these stuff. Parents who train their...

Lasting Peace

...To have peace in the world we must be willing to ingrain it into our soul. It's a contagious force which stems from us internally and for it to last in the world and in us we must have specific traits and ideals. Being optimistic and oozing positivity s the foundation for peace. It affects you and your aura - making it bright and powerful. But other people are also affected. It's been proven time and time again that humans are drawn to others that are happy, friendly and outgoing and forming friendships with those kinds of people spreads peace and happiness. Inner peace is just one form, there are also many other ways to show and express it. War is the complete opposite of peace. It causes death, destruction, crisis and misery all over the world. And not only is peace contagious, but so is hatred - which is it's destroyer. Mankind has had a long history with battle and the struggles that go along with it which at it's very core is centered around the greed, gluttony and selfishness humans tend to feel. All of this comes together into a complex ball and ruins peace. Being selfless, compassionate, sympathetic and generous helps to feed peace and sweep the world with it which in turn fights off unwanted and negative hatred. Spreading peace around only makes us stronger. It fuels us and gives us hope. Once it's achieved all over the planet, the security and comfort it provides will be visible. Doing good deeds and having a positive outlook towards life is noticed by the media....

Conflict management is achieved by the use of good negotiation skills, effective communication and problem solving abilities. Peace

...Peace and justice has a lot of different meaning to different people. Some people define peace as a way to avoid negation or in common synonym harmony and tranquility while justice is the conformity to truth and reality in expressing opinions and in conduct. Two simple words but they carry out so much within them. These two words may seem different but they complement each other when said in one. Like people in different faith traditions, these people have different believes and different traditions but they’re perspective of peace and justice complement each other. They may not be the same but they are equally connected to each other. Like Martin Luther King, Martin a Baptist now referred to as human right icon of today. In his history of fighting for peace and justice he came across a lot of hardships, problems and has endured more than anything you could imagine. He always believed in the teaching of Mahatma Gandhi that there should be non-violence. And that everyone should live simple and should not try to look at the material things but only look to God. He would always implement peace and justice but no one listen they would always think of it as non sense, but in one of King’s speeches called “I Have a dream” everyone’s eyes opened to consciousness about civil rights. Dr. King’s vision of justice included men, women, sanitation workers, and union members. He knew that if their concerns were met they would together create a broad-based movement that would endure. He spoke...

Building Peace In America

...Eleanor Roosevelt once said " It isn't enough to talk about peace, one must believe it. And it isn't enough to believe in it, one must work for it." In other words, this quote defines the meaning that we, all the people should not only speak about peace or put full faith in it but instead we must undertake and effectuate it. Every day I see around me leaders from the world are getting together, talking, passing resolutions for peace. United Nation is constantly speaking about changing the world with peace. America has strongly built peace in our hearts and minds so we envision a future full of tranquility. Every time I watch the news, there's not a single day that goes by without saying anybody has been killed or hurt. When I wake up everyday I have this little tiny sparkle of hope saying" today is going to be a better day." But how can our world get better if we don't bring peace to our hearts and mind? What does building peace in our hearts and mind actually mean?...

Conflict and Peace Making

...Peacemaking in the School Systems War versus Peace War and peace, people have heard this phrase from such things as movies, marriages, sports figures and owners, union workers and employers. Because conflict generally involves two or more parties, each person tries to find the balance between the conflict and the solution in order to find the peace he or she seeks. There is a fine line between conflict and peace. For individuals looking to find peace sometimes it takes a conflict to open his or her eyes to a solution for the problem. What is a conflict? For there to be a conflict there has to be some type of situation that each party does not agree upon. This results in the conflict. One person may view the situation one way while the other individual has a completely different view of the situation. Meeting in the middle is where each individual needs to meet but sometimes that is easier said than done. Finding a solution becomes the main focus when people have conflicts with one another. Individuals on each side of the conflict do not want to give in because they feel as if this is a submission of failure or loss of their own goals. According to Myers (2010), “People in conflict perceive that one side’s gain is the other’s loss:” (pg. 483). What is Peacemaking? Peacemaking starts with a compromise where each person experiencing the conflict can reach the goal or action he or she is trying to reach. Peace is achieved by each individual analyzing his or her...

Finding Inner Peace

...Finding Inner Peace John Frazier Finding inner peace is easier than alot of people think it is. In a few simple steps I can explain how to begin this process. Of couse you will not become a spokes person for peace over night. However with time you will find yourself having a very relaxed way of thinking and living. Peace comes from within do not seek it without. The most critcal part of this journey is being able to love yourself 100%. Though this sounds easy, its not when you have a society that has made an image of what they consider a perfect male or perfect female. God has made every human on this earth have distintive features. And in his eyes they are all beautiful. If you are one who deals with self esteam issues, every morning look yourself in the mirror and say God does not make mistakes. Our first and last love is self love. The second step is accept what it is. There is only so much that we have control over. If we are presented with a situation that we can not change or affect then just let it be. "It is what it is" is something i like to say. For example say your going to be late for work becasue there is traffic and there is only one route to your job, instead of getting stressed out about being late for work understand that you can not physically pick up the cars and move them so just let it be. Obviously there is nothing you can do about traffic so don't think about it just wake up alittle earlier the next day. If you practice this on small situations...

Peace Resolution In Bangladesh

...1 Introduction Conflict at the sub-national level can impede development, can jeopardize human security and can greatly slow the process of peace-building and nation building. The formal end to a conflict, however, does neither guarantee an improvement to the situation nor assure a steady path towards post-conflict development and reconciliation. As such, it is becoming increasingly important to study the nature of a peace process and the actual peace accord reached. Understanding the framework of a peace accord will demonstrate both the overt and underlying concerns of all parties involved in the conflict. And, the plan of implementation will reveal the degree to which each party is serious about their commitment to a negotiated peace agreement....

World Peace

...World Peace Day The International Day of Peace also known as Peace Day is celebrated on September 21 each year to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. On Peace Day, people around the world take part in various activities and organize events centered on the theme “peace”. Events vary from private gatherings to public concerts and forums involving large audiences. Peace, as we all know, is very a important matter in our daily lives and it is essential to our overall well-being. However, this is something that has, regrettably been avoided for many years. It has been hindered by war, conflicts and disagreements throughout human history, which has left our world in a disgraceful emotional and physical state. This should not be the case. Peace has many benefits if we give it a chance, and it is a far more favorable option than conflicts. Imagine all the positive developments we could make if we were to have lasting peace throughout the ages! It might be hard, but we must all learn to do it. It is our responsibility as educators to promote peace within our school. There are many ways to promote peace in the classroom that aren’t too abstract. Although it is important to touch on this subject, peace education does not have to just include the prevention of war. It can start in the classroom, by simple acts of kindness, or care of the environment and others around us. The word “peace” means something different to everyone, there...
