Abstract
Pepsi and Coca-Cola are two widely known beverage companies. Each company is known for pop-stars promoting their company in commercials. Competition is strong between these two companies because of how similar they are to one another. The rivalry between these beverage companies results greater income for both, but also leads to cautious investors due to the risk. It is important to research each company thoroughly and examine ratios before investing. These ratios have the ability to help predict the future of the company based on up to date technologies and revenue, while also examining possible liabilities.

Pepsi was first introduced as "Brad's Drink” in New Bern, North Carolina, United States, in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, who made it at his drugstore where the drink was sold. It was later labeled Pepsi
Cola, named after the digestive enzyme pepsin and kola nuts used in the recipe. Bradham sought to create a fountain drink that was delicious and would aid in digestion and boost energy. Coca-Cola is a carbonated soft drink sold in stores, restaurants, and vending machines in more than 200 countries. It is produced by The Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, Georgia, and is often referred to simply as Coke. Originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coke to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.
The current ratio measures the company’s ability to meet the financial obligations to come in the future. The current ratio is derived by dividing the company’s current assets by current liabilities.
