The aim of this research is to examine, from different points of view, these practitioners in regard to the importance of perceived performance criteria and their respective performance outcomes in a construction project. A research model is structured based on nine performance criteria and their respective performances. The data were collected from 324 practitioners who have participated in construction projects in Hong Kong. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and repeated measures ANOVA are used to analyse the data. The relative importance of nine performance criteria and their performances are measured. Specific data was analyzed and compiled to help measure several factors to develop a standard of performance driven criteria. Using a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to analyze the data compiled into nine relative importance of performance. Leveraging key participants consisting of clients, consultants and contractors, input is gathered and evaluated to help create measurable performance in areas of profit, time, contractual disputes, job satisfaction, quality, safety, environment, generation of innovative ideas, and effectiveness. A total of 324 research samples were collected and evaluated from public and private sectors, clients, consultants, main contractors and developers. Research shows the greatest differences are, in order, (1) time; (2) safety; (3) quality; (4) environment; (5) profit; (6) job satisfaction; (7) effectiveness; (8) no claims or contractual disputes; and (9) generation of innovative ideas.
