Report About Constructing Portfolio of Stocks.

...maximum return possible is the main focus in any market to every investor. But along with return, there comes risk. And in managing risk, every investor tries to keep it at minimum while trying to adhere to the targeted return. In doing so, investors have found that diversification of investment through portfolio investment can meet the investment goals in a better way than investing in a single security. Therefore, to make the maximum return at a given risk preference level, it is important to design and create a portfolio that would provide the optimum return for per unit of risk borne. Here I have constructed an optimum portfolio with different scenarios such as maximizing theta in case of short sell allowed and not allowed; minimizing standard deviation in case of short sell allowed and not allowed, maximizing return for a given risk in case of short sell allowed and not allowed, minimizing risk for a given return in case of short sell allowed and not allowed of 8 securities from a set of 16 securities of 5 sectors selected from the listed companies in Dhaka stock exchange. I have analyzed very sophisticatedly to minimize the risk of the portfolio. PORTFOLIO CONSTRUCTION In simple words, portfolio refers to combination of assets. An investor invests a pool  of different investments  to make a profit while aiming to preserve the invested (principal) amount. These investments are chosen generally on the basis of different risk-reward combinations: from 'low risk, low yield' (gilt edged)...

Integrated Reporting

...Abstract Businesses today face heightened expectations around their role in society and the world, with turning a profit only one of many criteria by which performance is measured. Rising in importance is the impact a company has on its stakeholders, society, and even the planet. Integrated reporting, which encompasses elements of traditional financial reporting, sustainability reporting, and governance reporting within a single presentation, represents a growing trend that reflects these new expectations. The core concept underlying the term “integrated reporting” is providing one report that fully integrates a company’s financial and non-financial (including environmental, social, governance and intangibles) information. Integrated reporting offers the opportunity to centre business reporting on strategy and value creation, to demonstrate how the business uses capital and the extent to which they should continue to be invested in business. Integrated reporting is a journey. Organizations are unlikely to achieve perfection in the first year. In the absence of a generally accepted framework, companies that wish to move toward integrated reporting may encounter several dilemmas around relevance, scope, assurance and other issues. However, as reporting processes for the production of the supporting information are designed and improved and as the executive team begins to benefit from a more informed implementation of the governing structures’ decision, reporting will improve...

At the end of the lease contract the asset reverts to the real owner. Leasing is an important new method of financing. Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) play a significant role in meeting the diverse lease financial need of various sectors of an economy and thus contribute to the economic development of the country as well as to the deepening of the country’s financial system. Lease firms play a role analogous to that of banks and other financial institutions, but act by buying and then leasing equipment to their clients rather...
