What Really Happened Concerning My Abduction

With great power comes a massive head. Although I’m still young for a god (only about 2,500 years old), I’ve learned a couple of things, but the one that the other gods don’t want mortals to know is that gods are more imperfect than mortals (which makes sense as they have to rely upon mortals for their power). The only issue was that my mother insisted that I never leave her side. I stayed with my mother night and day and she smothered me. After a couple hundred years, I began to chafe against the gold and silk cords binding me. I didn’t want to still sweetly as nymphs braided my hair, I didn’t want to skip hand- in-hand with my mother through the sickly- sweet fields. He pampered me with whatever I desired and much, much more. He gave me the title of Queen and bedecked me in glittering jewels. But, most importantly, he gave me my freedom, he never tried to force me to do something I didn’t want to do or be someone I didn’t want to be.
