...My Personal Accomplishment, My Personal Goals One of my greatest achievements in the field of teaching is accompanying my students every year into a competition where the battle field is to showcase their best skills especially in home economic development. At first, it was very hard as we required to have continues training not just for my students but for me who needs to attend trainings and seminars so I could have additional knowledge and skills to inculcate to my students. My goal is not just to get the prize in every competition but to show that the skills the students acquired was a result of an effective teaching learning process. Another of my most important accomplishment was helping the students to be inspired and achieved their goals through constant studying by heart. In every subject that I am teaching, I see to it that I can give them a one minute inspirational thought so students could be guided to which path they want to go to. At my six years in teaching profession, I’ve encountered a lot of difficulties during early stages. A simple teaching of general education subject turning out into more complex field of home economics development program which required me to undergo another studies and mastery of skills where at first faced an obstacle of time management and methodology. Those days had thought me and lead me to stand still to where my heart wants to and as a result, it was my students who had benefited and the reflection of it was joining and winning...

...Success; the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Success is measured in various ways to each individual. What you choose to succeed in may be totally greater or smaller than the next person. I choose to obtain success in my goal by first receiving further knowledge in Film and Electronic Media. It was not until after my freshmen year of being enrolled in the Mass Communications program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe that I found my passion for producing and editing different types of media. Growing up I always thought of filming and editing videos as a hobby and not turning it into a life-long career. While taking different classes and learning how to professionally make art, I began to take up a huge interest. This led me to finding...

...I was born on October 29th, 1998 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. My parents, Scott and Debbie, were living together in a two bedroom condo in Palatine, Illinois with my older brother, Kyle, for several years. Afterwards, they moved into a small single family home in Hainesville, Illinois where I was raised for six years, thereafter we moved to McHenry. After my secondary education, I plan to study either aerospace engineering, astrophysics, or chemical engineering, and perhaps some music theory. I consider anything to be a piece of art so long as it contains an emotion, place, and time. I have difficulty writing essays because of this. Whenever I am prompted to create something, it takes preparation, consideration, and a lot of effort to create something meaningful that I would consider art. I aspire to inspire, and art gives me the chance to curate the paintings I enjoy the most. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated with outer space, or rather, the sliver of a concept I was able to understand as “space”. Growing up with this concept, I was always searching for more history about space, more constellations to gaze at, and learn from actively doing and searching, rather than listening and being told. Now, I consider outer space to be one of the most natural forms of art. Ever-changing, vast, and undiscovered, it is the perfect palette to brush with new discovery and meaning. In grade school and middle school, I perceived science as just a gamut of gray hues to learn from...

...I feel a sense of accomplishment because all the hours, hard work, and dedication that I have committed in my education has brought me here. If my life was a checklist, college would've been on the top of the list written in bold print. It has proven to me that even though I am an immigrant to this country, I am still capable of reaching a higher level of education. Being able to experience this accomplishment has taught me that anything else is achievable if I am willing to sweat for it. I have come a long way from knowing only the words “yes” and “no” to writing a scholarship essay for college. By coming to college, I know that I have open up many doors that will lead me to an endless amount of opportunities. Although life can sometimes be unexpected, the decision of coming to college was something that was in my control. I am proud that I was able to reach this long-term goal and that the sacrifices my parents have made did not go...

...come from all around the world with zero experience of working together on any projects. Although each member tries to inform other members how they are doing by sending emails, it is a sad truth that not everyone will read the emails and be interested in how their colleagues are doing. Everyone just work on their own, making the team a collection of individuals rather than a real group. Without a channel to communicate with each other, it is hard to develop a sense of unity. The frequently organized business trips and the multiple projects at once also show that there is a miscommunication between the secretary and other members. Moreover, there is no standard of excellence to regulate and guide the performance of the employees. Team accomplishment is not being recognized as well. Members thus cannot find the value of performing to the utmost and are frustrated with the heavy workload. Given the above situation, the leader seems doing nothing to handle the stressful circumstances. Base on the analysis of team effectiveness, Jim should intervene at this time at internal level, focusing on relational actions. Building team relationship for a virtual team is even more important than collocated team. As they are working across time and space together with a need of dependence, the most critical aspect to enhance team efficiency is to focus on the collaboration between members. With a sense of unity as well as the belief that individual’s performance can affect the progress of the...

...1. One accomplishment, I have been proud of has been making community connections and breaking some barriers and the stigma that was associated with LARS. I’ve met people in the community that had a bad stigma about LARS but by educating them, I have been able to see the client walk through the process and be elated after the process of assistance. 2. The second accomplishment I have been proud of has been to tackle the personal goal of public speaking. Being an introvert makes you want to only do what is comfortable. With this position as director, I have to be the total opposite of introvert and speak as an advocate for those who don’t have a voice to advocate for themselves. 3. I have been able to use my creativity in implementing new...

...Personal Responsibility and College Success Personal responsibility is something that can help an individual. I believe that if a person has the sense to be responsible in their everyday life, then being successful in college will be a breeze. To be successful, one has to make good choices to get good results. The choice I made was to attain my college degree. In order to pursue that goal, I need to be personally responsible for the work ahead and make it through any obstacles. Furthering ones education and personal responsibility have many things in common, especially if it helps that person get their priorities in order. Personal responsibility is accepting the actions chosen and the consequences from those actions. I take upon myself to set my personal responsibility as succeeding in college. Haskins (2009) wrote, “When applied to education, personal responsibility means that students accept the responsibility to study hard and to learn as much as they can in courses that press against the limits of their capacity.”. In other words, I am going to push myself until I can no longer push. Move forward, do not look back – only look at what the future holds. I want to set an example for my children that if you find the motivation that helps you be that better person, go for it. According to Ellis (2011), “Motivation can come simply from being clear about your goals and acting on them.” My personal motivations are to provide my children with a future that I can give...

...Personal Responsibility William H. Hill Jr. GEN/200 31 January, 2012 Sherell Ellis I believe that personal responsibility is to be accountable for one’s actions and an individual obligation to personal success. College diplomas are not given to teams. These special certificates are presented as an acknowledgement of individual accomplishment and a testament to a student’s hard work, personal dedication and commitment in achieving academic success. In an educational environment a person can and should give credit to those who have provided them with instruction and by imparting some of their wisdom upon them. However, once someone has been provided with the tools and resources to assist them along the way, ultimately it is up to the individual on how to use those tools correctly. Instructors only have a limited amount of time during which they can provide direction, guidance, and encouragement. After that, students on their own to control the amount of time and effort that is necessary to be successful in reaching their personal educational goals. Once out of the classroom, a student must take upon themself to manage their time wisely and to make the correct decision of how much effort you should personally dedicate to their studies. Although a group of people can perform as a team in order to reach a common goal, and the pooled resources of a group increase the probabilities...

...because the words are so profoundly true. In the end we cannot blame anyone but ourselves for the way our life turns out. As I began writing this paper, I really had to think about how I felt about my own personal responsibility. I had to consider how my decisions affect those that are in my personal circle. Realizing the choices that I make now or in the future could have a paramount effect on my family and closes friends. Yes, I am responsible for how others view me and take into account the person that I have come to be. Being personally responsible means; being accountable for everything that happens in my life, including my actions, attitude and the decisions I make about such things as my health, how I handle myself on my job, being a good parent and being an excellent student. Personal responsibility also means that for every cause there is an effect, every action has a reaction. Is this reaction positive or negative? Well, that depends solely on how one handles the situation life throws your way. My true happiness depends on the degree to which I recognize and accept the consequences of my actions and realize that each action has a direct impact on whether I reach my goals, accomplish my dreams and make my life meaningful. I have recently decided to take personal responsibility for my life and finish what I started so many years ago. I always promised myself when I had finished raising my son I would return to school and complete my degree. That moment has arrived...

...Individual personal statement Over the course of the facilitation module I have learnt many things, whether it be through work in class, through my own wider reading or my own personal experiences being a participant. One thing that has become clear through my reading of Boal's games for actors and non-actors is that facilitation is a platform to allow anyone to experience drama. I found this very interesting as using facilitation in this way shows the positive ways in which drama can be used. I felt that this was an important idea, especially as the purpose of our workshop was to bring drama to an age group that might not have had a chance to experience it. Although our group was not on the same calibre as the groups that Boal's in the theatre of the oppressed it is still just as important for them to experience drama, “Even if they had all been homogeneous groups I feel that this introduction would have been necessary” (Boal,1992) this clearly shows that it is important that we use facilitation in this way. Although I missed a section of this module, due to health reasons, I feel that I have tried my best to put in an equal effort towards to outcome as my peers. I have tried to use my own experiences being a participant in workshops myself and also my experience being a facilitator at a local drama school to influence my decisions in the planning and development process. As I was working with children of a similar age, I felt that this influenced the way I worked in this...

Although I did not personally pick the debate question I had suggested several other topics but choice to stay on board with this debate question so the discussion would proceeds faster. Although they were not responding I could have posted the research I found and what my option was. I have done some research on this debate question. I submitted an order to the University of Phoenix section in the Library called Ask a Librarian and I received a responses. The responses I received back from the Librarian suggested ways I could find reliable sources in the University Library. These sources will help me for future references with the debate question. I also did some personal research on the debate question out of curiosity. I know when I write more papers in the future or bring more to the debate I will use resources I find in the University of Phoenix Library....

...Psychology Major Module 2: Assignment: Instructions and Grading Rubric DIRECTIONS: Personal Credo: Psychology is a science that pervades nearly every moment of every day of our lives. To provide just one small example, consider the complex psychological and physiological processes involved in forming thoughts, communicating with others, and remembering both happy and sad memories. The very manner in which you engage (or do not engage) with others in the world around you has been derived from a series of influences on you, both genetic and environmental, that have shaped you into the person you are today. Thus, we are the amalgamation of collective influences on us, from our families and friends to our coworkers and larger society. It is my firm conviction that to appreciate who we are and what we stand for, it is important to periodically self-reflect and consider our life experiences, those things important to us, and our current direction in life. To assist you in doing this, I will ask that each of you complete a “personal credo.” This term may be somewhat alien to you, so I will explain what materials are to be included in this brief summary of who you are. Submit your assignment via the Dropbox no later than Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT. (This Dropbox basket is linked to Turnitin.) The word “credo” relates to a personal set of values or beliefs. For this class, conceptualize your personal credo as a brief autobiographical statement that details not only important background...
