Healthcare Communication “In general, health communication is concerned with the application of communication concepts and theories to transactions that occur among individuals on health related issues” (Northouse & Northouse, 1998, p. 3). Because most health care providers in a given setting share the same patients it is essential for better continuity of care to maintain and practice an open communication among all disciplines. With better multidisciplinary communication, there is better integration of all the aspects of the patient’s health care needs, which are achieved effectively and efficiently. Healthcare communication is fundamentally the pillar of a healthcare facility. It helps to coordinate and manage patient care. An absence of communication among health care providers will create an unsafe environment for all patients. Care would be sporadic and chaotic with no sense of direction and the outcome will be detrimental to the health of the patient and unnecessary financially stressful, thus placing great relevancy on both effective personal and professional healthcare communications. The importance of these issues will be discussed, as well, as the outcome of a lack of communication.

Theory of Knowledge Essay

...Personal Understanding of Theory of Knowledge Essay Student’s Name College Personal Understanding of Theory of Knowledge Essay The human nature has divergent understanding and views about certain issues of concern. This is attributed to the fact that people are unique and are from divergent backgrounds thus making them have different views about certain aspects of life. (Heydorn, 2013). Many people believe that solutions to their problems can only be found from what is within their reach. Alternatively, it might be argued that the saying is a desperate way of looking for solutions to problems. Therefore, the need to look into issues in a broad and holistic way cannot be underestimated when one is faced with difficult situations. However, sometimes people fail to accommodate other’s divergent emotions, reasons, cultural practices, and perceptions. These are sometimes influenced by an individual’s preformed opinions of being the best in the society (Spradlin, 2010). Similarly, the society may fail to approve a person’s immoral doing irrespective of the justifications or the circumstances which are offered for such actions. Ideally, handling certain situations may call for the parties involved or whoever in in-charge of the resolution to compromise their stand to certain extent. Overall, education is considered to be one of the most important assets that the governments or parents can offer their citizens and children respectively (Woempner, 2008). The economic and social...

Personal Statement

...Subject: Successful Princeton Applicant Through all of my accomplishments and disappointments, I have always been especially proud of the dedication and fervor I possess for my personal beliefs and values. Unfortunately, it has often been difficult for me to remain outwardly firm and confident in a town where most people think alike and reject exceptions. Whenever I have expressed my position as a pro-life advocate, peers have badgered, accused, and ridiculed me for simply believing in something that they scorn. Despite all the pressure, I never waive red from my belief, yet I became frustrated and began to lose the courage to publicly express my opinion on this controversial topic. To gain some insight and reassurance for myself, I attended the New Jersey Right to Life Convention in the spring of 1995. This experience uplifted me and offered great inspiration and enlightenment. At the convention I received an overwhelming amount of support and encouragement from wonderful people who advocate the very principles I believe in. This convention was so inspiring that the next day in school I was able to relate my experience to one of my biggest opponents on the subject. Also, the abundant information available at the convention enabled me to defend my position on abortion more effectively. Attending this convention accomplished two things. It proved my commitment to my belief, in that I took the initiative to strengthen and support my opinion, refusing to give up or lose heart. Unlike...
