A time when i tried something new was when I went to Olive Garden, my dad told me to try what he got. I did not know what it was at first I thought it was chicken because it had a bread like coat to it. It ended up to be squid wukk! I felt like there was slime in my mouth. I made a sound like ucc khkc , I almost puked because it was so gross. When I ate it it was pinkish white color inside. It smelled like dead fish. Technically it was from the sea and it was dead but in bread but still. I did not want to try anything new unless I knew what it was and what was in it.
