Have you ever been to a job interview and been asked “What is your leadership style” and “What is your strength or weaknesses with your leadership style, and how would you improve your weaknesses”? Well in this paper I am going to go over what I feel is my leadership style, what my strength and weaknesses are and how I would improve my weaknesses. This is all very good information to know very well as you enter into a new career because when you are asked this you will be able to answer the interviewer strongly and confident without any hesitation, which in turn could make you win the job over. When doing my research on leadership styles I have found that I am actually a combination of two leadership styles, affiliative leader and democratic leader. An Affiliative leader is someone who works to create emotional bonds that bring a feeling of belonging to the organization. This type of leader has the frame of mind that people come first. I have always been the type of person that really cares about other people, and their needs and wants over my own and I feel that would reflect the type of leader that I would become. I also feel though that I would be a democratic leader as well because if I need to I am able to pull everyone together and get their ideas on how to solve a problem. I am always one to ask what everyone thinks before I just go ahead and make a change. If a change does need to be made right away I can make the decision without group input but I prefer to ask everyone what their input will be.

...Personal Leadership Style (AS IS) Introduction Everyone wants to be a good leader in life. This paper reflects my personal thoughts on my leadership. Completing the questions under the nine components of Campbell’s leadership descriptor has helped me to understand what a good leader is. I will talk about how my experiences in different societal settings has helped in shaping my views on what a good leader is and how a good leader needs to understand the diverse nature of individuals in the world. According to King, Altman & Lee (2011), knowledge on leadership helps an individual find his/her way out of drift, or even avoid it altogether. The purpose of this paper is to review and summarize the different types a leadership styles, positives and negatives of each style, and reflect upon my own leadership style. Each person consists of different leadership styles and not usually on specific but rather a mix of different style. However, often times one leadership style is the most prominent throughout their professional lives.
