Draft Zero Mama’s Dialect

Youngen its supper time! I can’t remember how many times I’ve heard my mother holler this while I’ve been working in the barn. My daddy has a hint of an accent and dialect but my mama, shoo, she’s straight out of Barbourville! As I’ve grown up I’ve watched as that lady has had to morph how she talks to blend in. Words aren’t the same over here as they are “down home”. Dialects vastly differ from location to location. Even though Barbourville isn’t but three or four hours away the way of talk is worlds apart. Words have a different meaning in Eastern Kentucky. Secondly, of the words that do share the same meaning, they are still pronounced differently. And lastly if we’re talking about “home” we can’t fail
