Personal Narrative: G-3 Commobilization In Sacramento

I work for G-3 mobilization in Sacramento and have been for a few years now. I utilize my personal values on a day-to-day basis because of the personnel I work with, and the work environment at our California Army National Guard (CA-ARNG) State Headquarters office. My personal values include many different ones and they include honesty, integrity, commitment, caring, and many others.
When a unit is sourced to mobilize within the CA-ARNG, we receive their Notification of Sourcing (NOS) documents via Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR), and we begin working with the unit from that day forward, until they leave for the mobilization site. I begin working with…show more content… For example, the unit has to ensure their Soldiers are in compliance of their medical and dental, their Soldiers must have time remaining on their current enlistment contracts after the unit returns from overseas (usually 90 days left on their contract), ensure the Soldiers have their paperwork updated prior to leaving California, and many other priorities as well.
One thing I expect of my Soldiers at work is for them to contact each mobilizing unit to ensure their Home of Records (HORs) are correct within our State database, because their mobilization order we cut is based off their HOR. If their HOR is incorrect within our State database, the Soldier will not be paid correctly because of their Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH). I always ensure my Soldiers are up-to-date with the latest mobilization Personnel Policy Guidance (PPG) information.
The Soldiers I work with at our CA-ARNG State Headquarters can expect from me to know my job each and every day I come to work, as well as the units I work with. I always try to remain technically and tactically proficient as a leader of Soldiers.
Mobilizing units rely on us very heavily to ensure they do not have any delays or issues when we begin working with them. With that being said, I expect any unit deploying to call if they need immediate assistance, or they do not understand what they
