The rural town of Elkland, Pa bases its success on the support of its community and possess an umpteen amount of opportunities, activities that I partake and pride in. I moved to Elkland when I was ten years old not knowing anyone or the area I was now residing in, but when I joined the Presbyterian Parkhurst Memorial Church I gained a wider community than I had than where I lived previously. Multiple restaurants and family owned stores are what makes this little town thrive; furthermore, the restaurants Bum steer, Ridge Runner Cafe, Pizza Barn, and Pj’s brings together younger and older generations into the Elkland Boro.
