Personal responsibility Dan Patterson

I believe that personal responsibility defines a person on what type of character they are and what kind of priorities they uphold. These characteristics directly tie into a person's mindset on how they approach every challenge in their lives such as achieving a higher education. I strive to use these priorities to drive the foundation of my lifestyle to advance my career and make better choices in life. My personal responsibilities are to my family. I devote most of my time to raising my two children and keeping my family together and happy. Though I do take some time to myself when it is available, I often contemplate on how to make use of my time to its maximum potential. I often dream of following the path for music and entertainment but the logical approach would to excel at a career choice that would best conform to the convenience of helping my family strive in today's economy. There is potential at the entertainment business, however in my case I need the proper funding to pursue such a path therefore I must concentrate my efforts to lay down the path to fuel my dreams. Achieving a higher education is among many individuals top priorities therefore the idea alone becomes a personal responsibility. One does not attain a degree by themselves and often works among other students in a team. As a team member, the individual must be depended on to carry their own weight as part of an assignment. The individual's trustworthiness dictates how much impact they have on their group and proves their reliability. Upon assignment of individual work, the student must exert discipline by remaining on task and focused on effort to complete their projects. It is the student's responsibility to ensure tasks are completed and submitted in a timely manner. My plan is to use my personal responsibilities to drive me to do my best and provide for my family. As long as I can keep them in my thoughts in my everyday activities, I will be able to remain focused in my efforts to achieve a higher education. Achieving a degree shall be the foundation of success in my family.

...Personal Responsibility Charen Santos Gen/200 February 3, 2014 Professor: Kenneth Farrell When given this assignment, I began to think of what personal responsibility truly meant. In the true definition, we see it states that Personal Responsibility is the obligation to manage ourselves, and making a decision that affects the result of life. In the aspect of being personally responsible, I can relate this to having a primary obligation to something that can directly be attributed to the cost of triumph or cause of a failure. Personal responsibility can also be related to a state of being that allows us to hold ourselves accountable and make independent choices. To be responsible is to be obligated to something particular. Currently, in our society we have taken a huge step backwards in accountability. Accountability makes responsibility meaningful and complete the process of delegation. Practicing self-discipline by taking charge of your actions is imperative when it comes to achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. Classroom Predicament Case Study

...The Classroom Predicament Case Study In my opinion, the characters in the Classroom Predicament Case Study should be ranked in the following order regarding their responsibility in Adrian’s failing grade. 1. Adrian 2. Violet 3. Louise 4. Professor Johnston 5. Dean Richards 6. Rob Adrian should be held most responsible for the failing grade that she received. Ultimately, it was Adrian’s choice and decision to use work that was not created by herself. It is clear that Adrian thought through this process and made the decision to use a paper written by someone other than herself. Violet is next in the ranking for most responsible for the failing grade. Violet’s role in this situation included the emailing and sharing of the prewritten paper. She was the individual who gave the idea of using or purchasing a paper written by someone other than Adrian. Louise is next in the ranking. Louise provided the prewritten paper to Violet which is what Adrian used and received the failing grade. If she hadn’t provided this paper to Violet, which was forwarded to Adrian, it’s possible that Adrian would not have used a prewritten paper. Professor Johnston ranks number four. The professor posted his late policy prior to this occurrence. He made it clear to Adrian that he was unable to make any exceptions regarding his late policy when she asked for an extension. This made Adrian aware of the consequences if she were to submit a late assignment. Dean Richards is next in the...

Personal Responsibility

...Rough draft My Responsibility Becoming the best person in life is your own personal responsibility. What you say, think, or do is a part of being a human, but you are accountable it’s your responsibility. Getting an education is my personal responsibility to become a better person. Having a preliminary plan is the key to success in education and everyday life. Our mind is like a sponge it observes everything and it’s our personal responsibility to choose the right path of life. Taking responsibility for ones actions and the consequences behind is personal responsibility in my opinion. It is all about you and the choices you choose in life, even if it’s good or bad. In life we all go through that stage where we want to fit in with the cool crowd. We have to go through things to find out that being a follower is not all that it seems. The time comes when being ourselves is all that matters; it’s a part of personal responsibility. Continuing my education is my personal responsibility and not putting it on hold anymore is a responsibility. Having to go to college and not get a job in that field can be so discouraging. It made me not even want to try again at the college world. Having to work jobs that only paid bills, and barely did open my eyes up to going back to college. I told myself that maybe that wasn’t my career path it was my responsibility to see what was. Setting a good example for my three boys that education is the key to success. Personal Responsibility

...Personal Responsibility Final Draft Jordan Chase GEN/200 March 27, 2012 University of Phoenix Personal Responsibility Rough Draft "You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself" (Rohn, n.d.).The only person who can better you is yourself and if you do not take action in your own life no one else will. To achieve a successful lifestyle, and reach goals, one must have personal responsibility to make this happen.  With a schedule and proper balance of time I can make my family proud and provide a better life for them by obtaining a degree and higher education. To me personal responsibility is making sure you are bettering yourself in any way possible and be self-driven enough to recognize an area of your life that needs attention and act on it. In the Marine Corps one value they believe in is their leadership trait “To know yourself and seek self-improvement” (Scott, 2007). Constantly self-evaluate and focus on yourself both good and bad. Then try to figure what areas of your life need some work and set some goals. Goal setting is a huge aspect of personal responsibility. If you do not set goals you will not have anything to strive for and without a deadline, no motivation to achieve it. You must have something to work toward but at the same time keep the goal realistic and timely. Goals do not have to be personal but professional or academic as well. If you allow goal setting in all three...
