Cranberry Sauce

Have you ever made this delicious topping called cranberry relish? Well I have, and it’s the best thanksgiving topping of all time in my opinion. So about five years ago my grandparents remodeled their kitchen right before thanksgiving. But the twist was about four days before thanksgiving my grandpa and I would make something called cranberry relish. If you’ve never had this then your missing out (no offense). So if you’ve never had cranberry relish it’s a side that is made mostly of cranberries, but you can add any other ingredients that aren't really hard like candy.

So the day I came out to make the cranberry relish it was a disaster. We started to get to work with putting in the cranberries. I remember that if the machine ever made this “Grrrrr” sound then my nana would always look over to make sure that it didn't break, or to make sure it wasn’t shooting out cranberry juice. Occasionally when it would get stuck it would shoot out a big batch of juice, so someone would have to get hit to avoid getting the juice everywhere, and the other would stick this little piece of wood down to help crush the berries and stop this annoying “Grrrrr” sound from happening. …show more content…
Later that night when we were getting close to the end the mixer made a huge “GRRRRR” sound. When we heard this we assumed that it was just due to a big clog but no! It was that the mixer had a huge overflow of sauce. So even when we crushed the food it did nothing but make a louder sound! After a while we found out that it was just a cranberry that made it through whole, and it was blocking up the rest of the food. So in the end we had a huge mess because, when we unclogged the machine it sent out a huge pile of cranberry sauce everywhere. Not a huge pile, but just a mediocre size pile of sauce splattering
