...Running heading: Organizational Change Process Presentation Cornelius Bowman LDR 531 Dr. C Introduction This paper focuses on the various strategies of organization change based on the leaders’ pet peeves. It has researched articles from various authors. One of such author is Kowaski, Robin M. in his book, “Complaining, Teasing and other Annoying Behaviors”. The paper has gone further to provide the recommendations on how these organizations changes are carried out. The paper has reviewed the case scenario of a C.E.O who wants to bring about change, but is concerned by the large size of the employees and a company’s long history without change. In the first section of the discussion, the paper highlights data observed on the graph which will be followed by a detailed recommendation. Also included are factors that hinder organization change, as this will help one understand the whole concept of organization change. Discussion One of the company’s goals is to have an organization that appreciates all employees. However, the data shows that the workers do not feel appreciated since only thirty five percent agree they fell appreciated. Appreciating employees is paramount as it makes them feel special (Senior & Swailes, 2010). This actually motivates them to work hard resulting to increased production and enhancing employer-employee relationship. The company can make the employees feel appreciated by doing little things. This may include, knowing...

...TURN OR TURN YOUR LIGHT OFF There is nothing that makes me more frustrated than driving behind a car or truck that constantly has their turn signal on. Every time I approach an exit or traffic light I slow down thinking the driver will be turning. But oh no – they just keep right on driving. Can’t they see their turn signal light blinking at them? Sometimes the car even gives the driver a warning sound. I guess if the driver has their radio blaring, it is possible they can’t hear the car trying to tell them how annoying they are to other drivers. Even better is when you ride with someone you know does this very thing and yet put them behind a car that forgets to turn off their turn signal and oh my goodness! They are stomping on the floor of their car screaming, “You idiot turn off your signal.” The next day the same violator is cruising down the street, not a care in the world, tapping to the beat of their turn signal. It takes all of my strength to keep my mouth shut when I am driving with this type of driver. Not only do they drive with their turn signal flashing like am ambulance when they should use a turn signal they don’t! There are horns beeping at us; drivers waving their finger at us - you name it. The driver looks at these people driving by saying, “what’s their problem?” What I want to know is are these people really that oblivious or do they just live a double standard? Can they not see what they are doing? Do they really think the rules...

...Every once and a while, something happens that makes my skin crawl and makes me want to scream. These things are called pet peeves. My personal pet peeves include people that talk with their mouths full, people that use the phrases, “Boys will be boys,” and, “It’s because they were born in a different generation,” to excuse foul behavior, and people that treat wait staff poorly. I volunteer at the Preston County Firemen’s Breakfast monthly, and often time’s people are too impatient to wait to talk until after they are done chewing. This previous June I had the delight of working for a party that had no qualms about showing the food they were chewing. The food was in clear view of anyone that happened to glance their way, and of any server unlucky enough to pick up their plates. The September after, I had a particular customer that deemed it appropriate to talk to me with his mouth full. To my disgust, the food...

...Pet peeves are a common occurrence among many people. Some have quite severe cases of annoyance, while others feel only slightly distressed. A pet peeve is something that annoys or bothers a person. They are typically caused by irritations that you experience in your everyday life that can lead to stress. There are all sorts of things that cause people to feel exasperated. But the question is: are pet peeves important in our lives or are they somewhat of a distraction? Do they manifest negative qualities of human nature? I believe that pet peeves are a bit distracting. For instance, if someone does not like when others tap their pencils on their desk during class, they will constantly be focused on the tapping sound, which prevents them from...

...Pet peeves can be described as something that people are annoyed or irritated with. Every day of our lives, we seem to be talking to somebody whether it be a close friend or our parent(s). Generally speaking, we sometimes feel that when we are talking to someone, they might not always be listening to what we have to say. They might be thinking about what they want to eat or what they may be doing after school. While we may try to talk to them, they may suddenly make it all about them by laughing or stopping what you have to say to talk about them and their issues. This is something that I feel many people might not go through in their lives, but it is a path that I have been down many different times for different things. The objective...

...Everyone on this planet has a pet peeve. As ridiculous as some sound, they really impact people in their everyday lives. My pet peeve is nothing but a simple condiment, mayonnaise. If I had the power to eradicate the earth of mayonnaise, I would do it in a heartbeat. The sweet, vinegar-like taste and the gooey texture of mayo sends me over the edge. My pet peeve takes over my emotions so much, I am not able to walk down the grocery store aisle with mayonnaise on the rack. My friends always make fun of me for having this peeve, but in my eyes see it as a phobia. My trauma with mayo can date as far back since I was a little kid in elementary school. I always have loved to eat sandwiches, and I still do to this day. My favorite restaurants, such...

...All of the munching and crunching throughout the day that I hear bothers me to no end. The bite through a chip. The slimy sound of eating crispy pepperoni on pizza. My grandma always taught me to chew with my mouth closed, to chew with care and never talk with my mouth full. This was something I am grateful that my grandma ingrained in me because I know from experience that some people I know never learned this. If I can hear the food in someone’s mouth I have an issue, if I see the food in someone’s mouth I have an even bigger issue, and if they are trying to talk to me while continuing to eat I will find a way to end the conversation with that person as quick as possible, it is my number one pet peeve always has been and always will be. When I picture a classroom with kids testing I see a room filled with silent people, but seven out of ten times there is another factor involved, a person sitting in the back eating either their lunch or snack and in this quiet room all you see can hear or think of is this person eating. My friend Symone, I love her dearly, but whenever she eats lunch she chews with her mouth open and I have to look away or listen music because I cringe so bad. The last person I...

...The Lost Innocents Richard Napper University of Phoenix When an individual makes the complicated decision of adding a four-legged member to their family it should be viewed as a lifelong commitment. The majority of people who decide to take in a new four legged family member usually have the best intentions at the time. However, life happens and things tend to change. The puppy who was once small and adorable is now full grown, becoming ignored, and is chewing for attention. The kitten who was once a cute little ball of fur is now not so little and clawing the furniture and using the potty in paces other than the litter box. Maybe there was a job loss in the family, or the individual has become homeless because of financial mishaps. With foreclosure on the rise these days due to a bad economy this is happening more often than not lately. One must plan for these types of issues that may arise in the near or distant future. There are a lot of individuals who believe that an animal shelter is the answer of all answers. The awful truth is they are mostly overcrowded and under staffed. More animals get euthanized inside the shelter due to lack of space than adopted by potential lifelong owners in the animal shelter. The animal shelter should not be used as a way to ease guilt on the former owners’ conscience. It should not be used as a dump site or a place to put your older animal like you would a senior citizen in a nursing home. Is animal abandonment ethically and morally wrong...

...Decision Making Process The decision making process for a manager can be quite difficult. There are many times throughout a manager’s career where vital decisions must be made, and a solid plan of action is necessary to carry out the objectives those decisions have set in motion. The example which I have chosen to share involves important decisions made for the business that I own and operate with my wife. The business that my wife and I own provided products and services for pets and their owners. When we first started our business we had a diverse line of hand-made pet products from dog and cat treats, custom pet beds, pet toys, and other pet products. The services that we offered ranged from all levels of dog training to pet sitting, etc. The division of responsibility set my wife as the sole service and product provider while I was responsible for all accounting, marketing, advertising, and production assistance. After the first year of conducting business, the service side of the business was steady during certain parts of the year, and we were beginning to see more interest in our product line. Although we were seeing growth, the problems of time management, and production costs became more apparent. Many products of ours were very time consuming and the raw materials needed were expensive. The services provided gave us revenue with low cost for materials, but the service demand was inconsistent and managing production became difficult. At this point I began questioning...

...Whether it’s on mortal land or in God’s great big grand stand, life must go on. Most of us had pets throughout our life. We can remember the snappy zip of a young feisty cat or the constant ambush of an out of control wagging tail from a K9 friend. Grover Cleveland, the elderly dying dog from Lying Doggo was this wondrous memory for the character Nancy. Grover was a remembrance of times past. He was the milestone of a 15 year marriage. Nancy reminisced about meeting Grover, when he was pup. Calm, and endearing yet very striking, Grover was. She knew him before she had meet her husband and Grover’s owner, Jack. Grover was a well know chap around her college campus when she was younger. Grover, like a decorated war general, led Nancy to Jack. Now that Grover is passing to God’s hands, these memories are awe inspiring. The decision to let him go until the almighty calls or give him an early pass to the heavens is not an easy choice. Jack in his heart, knows he does not want to give Grover an untimely death by putting his aging, ailing friend to sleep. He just can’t stand seeing him in agony. Nancy, and their son Robert, rather see him pass in the sanctity of his loving home. ...You should invest in my company, “Shady Dogs”, because our pets deserve the same protection that we would provide our children or ourselves. During those rainy days, it’s more difficult to take our pets on a walk because they always return home wet, and the smell of “wet dog” plus the mess that ensues creates more work for us in our already busy lives. Instead of bringing home your cold, wet dog, you can now buy them the protection they’ve been waiting for. With the simple design of a walking harness that many of us are already accustomed to, my product has the added benefit of an attached umbrella to shade and protect our four legged friends from harsh environmental elements. This patent pending design allows even weight distribution so that the umbrella harness can be comfortably worn on the animal's back. You can even use our device during the hot summer months to shield from the damaging effects of the sun’s harmful rays. Of course, we offer these umbrella harnesses in different sizes and colors because no dog is too big or too small to be left out in the rain. They range from $20-$35 depending on the size of the dog and are available in all major retail pet stores. The cost to produce each harness ranges from $4-$6 so there is plenty of room for profit. We have already sold 100,000 units this year and project 250,000 in the upcoming year. We are also developing additional products to grow our business and are looking for investors to aid in production and development...

One of the most fascinating parts of this career for me is interactions with our pet owners, hearing their stories, helping make their pet’s life better and also bonding with their pets. We hear story after story of our itchy, scratchy friends and all we want to do is be there to help you out. We bond with not only your pets but with you. I personally enjoy educating our pet owners and taking the time to help them through very frustrating times. Did you know there is a veterinary technician stationed everyday just to take your questions, get your refills or call them into a pharmacy even if your local office is closed. The Gilbert Arizona office is where your calls are forwarded if your local office is closed so that a technician can help you 6 days a week. We also have to be the one that runs into the exam room to get vitals which include that dreaded thermometer. We set catheters, draw blood and urine samples, perform injections, clean our fuzzy friends ears no matter how bad they get, and many other job tasks on a daily basis. We monitor your pet under anesthesia, making sure that every vital sign is watched carefully and maintained properly. We have become typing machines for your discharges while translating horrible doctor handwriting. We take all of the bites, scratches, head butts and whatever...

...Loyalty is a noble quality that is found not only in human beings, but also in pet animals, such as dogs, horses or elephants. The word 'loyalty' means 'fidelity to law' which is generally applicable in the case of the Sovereign of the State. But in its broader sense, it means one's steadfastness in allegiance to a person or cause, or to one's country or sovereign. Loyalty involves obedience, sacrifice and compassion of the heart. Loyalty is a very broad term which may be applicable in case of one's family, locality or the country. A loyal person is ready to sacrifice even his own life for the sake of his master, friend, relative or the country. A loyal person bears a moral character, honest outlook, and disciplined manners. A truly loyal man cannot be bribed or tempted to deviate from his own path. He is like a stone pillar which is firm and strong to stand any force that may try to penetrate through it. He is absolutely dependable in all circumstances of life. In this world, there are only a few instances of loyal personalities, who are well-known. In those days, some of the kings and emperors were lucky to have certain loyal commanders who fought for their kingdom and saved their masters again and again from the hands of the enemies, even at the cost of their own lives. Loyalty is common among the courageous soldiers and servants. There are also instances of pet animals, such as dogs, horses or elephants, who, out of loyalty, gave their lives for the interest...

...Dogs are much better friends to the average person than cats could ever be. Cats and dogs both make a good pets depending on the individuals life style. The dog is a lot more social with their owner than a cat is with their owner. Dogs love to please their owner in all kinds of ways, and cats just wants to be pleased by their owner. Dogs can be train much faster and easier than a cat could be trained. Many people have a pet at home. The typical house pet is ether a cat or a dog, and some times people have both cats and dogs. I believe that a cat is a better choose if a person lives in an apartment because cats get patty train much faster, as wall as they don’t need that much space. I also believe that the dogs are more suited for a person that has a house because most dogs need to get out and exercise and play. If a person is looking for there first pet they need to consider their living situation, before choosing between a cat and a dog. Dogs are much more social with people than cats are. Dogs either want to be petted or play with you, such as playing fetch or tug-a-war. If dogs aren’t playing with you they are most likely laying close by if not even in your lad, depending on the size of the dog. On the other hand cats are most likely in the other room sleeping because they typical want to be left alone or get upset by load noises, and people that they don’t know. You may only see them two or three times a day, unless you go looking for them. All dogs want to do is to...
