Step 1: Introduction/HR Component Part Did you know that Petco Animal Supplies Inc. have more than 10,000 different pet-related products for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and small animals and it foundation work with more than 7,000 local animal-welfare partners to find homes for more than 250,000 animals every year through in-store adoption events” Petco Animal Supplies Incorporate was founded by Walter Evans; at that time he worked with mail order veterinary supplies in 1965.Petco original name was United Pharmacal Co. In 1976, the first retail store was opened in La Mesa and was a success. Petco vision and mission are part of their strategy which is to best promote, through employees and customer the highest level of well-being for companion animals and services to support the human-animal bond and shopping experience. Petco like any other business has an organizational structure consisting of 21 different departments that fulfill its mission. There are couples of positions: chairman of the board, 9 director, cfo, vice president, communication, operations & development, adoptions manager, president, coo, secretary, vice president, and treasurer. Customers are the key to any business, and Petco is not the exception. Petco maintain its customer base by encouraging customers to write reviews and complaints of its suppliers' products at petco.com as well as Bazaar Voice Inc., in Austin, Texas-based Company that provides software and services for managing customer reviews, manages and hosts the reviews.
