From this perspective, the findings from Mazar’s excavation indicate a construction date before King David’s time. Alternatively, however, Mazar claims that it was indeed the palace that King David built that she found. The book demonstrated Petra and there is no romance between them. The movie “Hollywoodized” Ender’s relationship with Petra by showing it as being closer and more intimate. This ended up doing more bad than good and only detracted from the real plot of the story. The most significant difference between the book and the movie seemed to be how both stories ended.
