This morning, we just returned from the mountains of Peyi Pouri. It was "unusually cold" and "extremely windy" in our sleeping tents. Each night, we felt as if the tents would blow away, with us in it! Pastor Souffrance and his church people had worked hard on the roads for months so that we could come to Peyi Pouri.
In just four days, we treated 1,870 people. We distributed 8,541 medications to those who came to the clinic. We cared for 83 in wound care, gave eyeglasses to 168 people, and had 11 conversions to Christ! We just really had a great team, which included three Haitian doctors.
The little boy in the photo who was burned, Mikensen, had fallen into a fire in September when he had a seizure. He was sent to a "clinic" up in the mountains.
