Original alphabetic writing goes back to approximately four thousand years. The new style of writing related to cuneiform or hieroglyphics. Also, these were built on simple lines to represent spoken sounds. In Egypt in the middle of the 1800 and 1900 BC, Semitic writing was being developed.

The first infrastructure, based on the ancient foundation, started by the Phoenicians around seven hundred years later. The Semitic language contained 22 letters in all. It was used all over the Mediterranean, counting the Levant, the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa and southern Europe.
