This is absolutely okay for non-catheterized patients but since then I always wondered if using the CHG wipes in the perineum during daily baths and routine periuretheral cleansing in catheterized patients would help in bringing down the rates of catheter associated urinary tract infection. If the evidence is strong enough, this practice can be implemented without any additional cost to the organization as we already use CHG wipes for the rest of the body.
