What the fuck did you just fucking say about my Squirtle, you little kid? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Trainer School, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Team Rocket, and I have over 600 caught Pokémon. I am trained in Pokémon battles and I’m the top battler in the entire country. You are nothing to me but just another source of XP. I will send you back to the Pokémon Center with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, youngster. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of trainers across the region and your trainer card is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your best Pokémon team. You’re fucking white-outed, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can KO your Pokémon in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my level 1 Pidgey. Not only am I extensively trained in single battle, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the Elite 4's Pokémon and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass back to the Pokémon Center, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, Youngster

...Mark Piehl 2-17-11 Significant object essay for a grade Pokemon Cards As a child growing up I was completely infatuated with collecting Pokémon cards. The cardboard scent and the ripping sound of the reflective plastic package really got me excited like a little kid on Christmas day. I was always on the look out for the special holographic cards, which meant this particular card was rare. I had piles and piles of these cards that really aren’t worth anything now a days stuffed in a vans cardboard box under my bed hidden by a fluffy pillow because I thought one of my friends would try to sabotage my collection. Everyday of the week I would try to hustle my mom for four dollars so I could feed my unstoppable habit of buying more Pokémon cards. My old heavyset neighbor who wore small round rim glasses would trade cards with me back and fourth, unfortunately he usually never wanted to trade with me because he always had better cards. This bothered me to the core; he only did not have two of the rarest cards out in the market at the time, Charzard holographic and the Mew. The Charzard card resembles an orange fiery dinosaur that destroys anything that crosses its path within a few seconds. The Mew looks like a small pink alien with big bright yellow eyes that can magically cast spells on the enemy. Every card has a blue wave on the back of it with a red and white pokey ball that resembles the home of where the Pokémon evolve. The mere sight of this gave me a chill down my skinny...

Pokemon Ev Traing

...EV training and breeding Pokemon has been a staple of the franchise for years. In Pokemon X and Y, some mechanics of breeding and EV training were made easier for those patient trainers who wanted to breed the perfect EV/Egg/Hidden Ability Pokemon. In Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, EV training was made even easier than its predecessor and it will make for a much more fulfilling job when you train your perfect Pokemon. From the basics, to special moves and items to help you along the way, EV training in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is not as much a chore as it used to be. And while breeding is a part of customizing your ‘perfect’ Pokemon -- we’ll get to Breeding in ORAS later -- this guide will deal with EV Training in ORAS exclusively. Also, it will be silly of us to mention EV training with mentioning the Super Training. It hasn't changed since X and Y and you should definitely complete that before doing this. So how exactly does Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire make it easier to EV train your Pokemon? Let’s take a look. Basics Let’s start with the basics of EV training. As many veteran trainers know, every Pokemon is allowed 510 Effort Value points that will go into their overall stats. These points are based on what Pokemon you defeat. Each Pokemon in ORAS has a specific amount in a given stat their EV points go toward. For example: A Wingull gives 1 Speed point. Each stat is allotted 252 EV points to max out a Pokemon’s potential in...

Cartoons on Children

...“Cartoons on Children” As for the beginning, I would like to recall your childhood memories. When you were a kid, do you like to watch cartoons? Is anyone in this room interested in Dragon Ball or Sailor Moon? I still remember, when I was in primary school, the Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon will be on air every Saturday and Sunday, at 9 am. So today, I'm not going to talk further about dragon ball or Sailor Moon, but I want to share about the adverse effects of cartoons on children. Typically, children begin watching cartoons on television at an early age of six months, and by the age two or three years, children become excited viewers. This has become an acute problem because too many children are watching too much television and the shows that they are watching, even if they are cartoons, have become violent and addictive. Unfortunately, children watch the cartoons on television and they see material that is not appropriate for their age of group. The Children who watch too much cartoons on television are more likely to have behavioral problems, along with brain and eye injuries and increase risks in child safety. The first effect is behavioral problems. Some cartoons, even the main character in the cartoon show shows a bad behavior. They always watch the cartoons characters and trying to act like the cartoons. Not only the actions, but the children will also follow the behavior showed by the cartoons. Why am I saying this? It is because it has happened to my little cousin, which...

...'Pokemon' still catching 'em all on Nintendo 3DS (CNN) -- Two new Pokémon games, "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y," have taken the gaming world by storm, selling more than 4 million units globally in their first two days of availability, and tracking to become the fastest-selling games of all time for the handheld Nintendo 3DS. Not bad for a franchise that got its start in 1996 on the Nintendo Game Boy handheld console. But the president of the Pokémon Company said the new games stay true to their roots of bringing people together to play while offering a new blueprint for the universe of pocket monsters. "From the beginning, communication between players has been the primary goal for the Pokémon brand," Tsunekazu Ishihara told CNN. "Today, the ability to connect millions of people around the world via Wi-Fi is why launching 'Pokémon X' and 'Pokémon Y' simultaneously worldwide was an ambitious yet important goal." Since debuting in video and card games, Pokemon has become a cultural phenomenon across the globe. There have been cartoons, cereals and a feature-length film, not to mention the national and global tournaments that draw thousands of players. "Gotta catch 'em all" is the franchise's catch phrase, referring to the player's goal of catching and training the tiny monsters to compete against other players. That's gotten significantly harder, though, with the expansion to more than 700 different known creatures in the universe. Unlike previous titles that were named after...

Fashion and Fads

...Fashion and Fads Fashions and fads have been around for as long as anyone can remember. Everyone has their own sense of style, and that changes over time to something new and exciting. The definition of fashion was described as a social pattern favored by a large number of people. With beautiful women walking along the red carpet in their red chiffon that cost them thousands of dollars and average people walking around in denim jeans bargaining for their outfits where does the line of fashion get drawn? Women and men go to Wal-Mart, Target, TJ Maxx, JC Penny, etc to get good deals on pants, shirts, suits, and dresses that are in for the season but not available financially. When stars have seen their outfits hit the shelves of discount stores they move on to something more expensive, desirable, and unnecessary. Denim jeans used to be worn by hard laboring workers and then moved on to being worn by the stars of Hollywood. But, if an average person wore an outfit worn by a star they’d move on to finding something new. Where does the line get drawn between frivolous and necessary? As times have changed women and men’s clothes have changed pushing the envelope of what is appropriate and what is just flat out provocative. Before MTV and other scandalous television shows became popular women and men dressed to impress and covered their skin to be taken seriously in their career and towards their peers. With fashion of bonnets, three piece suits, and full length dresses this...

...The Boy In The Striped Pajamas In class, we read the book, The Boy In The Striped Pajamas. It was about the friendship of two young boys and how different their beliefs are. One of the boys is Jewish and the other has a father who works for Adolph Hitler and the Nazis, but Bruno (the son of the Nazi Commandant) has no clue what a Jew is or what a Nazi is. But Shmuel know that he is Jewish and that him and Bruno shouldn’t be playing with each other and that doesn’t interfere with their friendship what so ever. Nine year- old Bruno is very lonely, and ignorant until he meets his new best friend for life; he is very friendly to this boy that wears striped pajamas all day but still has many commonalities. Bruno had to move with his family to a place he thinks is named OutWith but is really pronounced Auschwitz, because of father’s promotion and his job is very important. When he left his lovely house in Berlin, he also had to leave his grandmother and grandfather along with his three best friends for life, Karl, Daniel, and Martine. Bruno and his family left their friends and family for a place with horrid scenery outside your bedroom window. The view you get is of a fence and on the other side; there are badly treated people. Another down about this new house is that there are soldiers and lieutenants walking in and out of your house as if they owned the place. The worst part about the house for Bruno and his sister was that there weren’t any other boys and girls their age...
