Polar Bear Discipline:

Discipline is based on rewarding the positive while focusing on the “Four Respects” (refer to pg. 11 in Student Agenda).
Student’s receive “checks” on our discipline chart for unacceptable behaviors.
Behaviors considered unacceptable are those that impede the learning of self or classmates or those that affect the preparedness of student
“Checks” start over each week
Consequences for behavior could include office referral, reflection paper, silent lunch, and/or parent contact
Students with two or less checks for the week have an opportunity to participate on “Polar Pride” where students are rewarded with social, recess, or snack time; students with more than two checks participate in “Polar Plunge” which is a reflection time for the student to focus on what they could do …show more content…
