I am unsure of weather the new Polymet mine is a good idea because of the possible environmental impact but also the economical need.

Lake Superior is the heart of MN and I'm concerned for its health. Mining is one of the most water poluting industry's and the new mines watershed leads to Lake Superior and would likely cause pollution. The EIS claims that the mine could meet standards, but that is if all goes exactly as planned. Molymet claims they will clean the water they pollute, but I'm considering weather I trust them. On the other hand, with a growing population there is a need for the metals that will be mined. They are the backbone of the economy.
