As we discussed during our telephone conversation earlier this week, I represent Mrs. Pomona Sprout in her claim against Long Island Railroad for injuries she suffered on July 1, 2016. Thank you for agreeing to consult with me as an expert on explosives in this case. I understand that you charge a fee of $300 per hour to review documents and create a report, and a fee of $500 per hour to testify at trial or evidentiary hearings. Sprout was standing on the train platform of the Long Island Railroad. A passenger was rushing for his train and dropped a package containing fireworks onto the tracks. The fireworks detonated, and upset some heavy scales which stood on the platform. The scales then toppled onto Mrs. Sprout, causing her to suffer physical injuries that kept her out of work for six months.
