Swimming Pool Volume Calculator

The Swimming Pool Volume Calculator (SPVC) is a simple and easy to use application that calculates the volume of a swimming pool or hot tub. The SPVC also includes a Temperature Calculator that converts Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa, a Length Calculator that coverts various measurements both metric and standard, holds customer information and contractor information. This extremely lightweight application that is portable and flexible that can run on any Operating System that has Java platform installed.

General Tab

The General Tab is the first tab you see when you first start the program. It show the current date and gives the user the opportunity to exit the application.

Options Tab

The Options Tab gives you the ability to customize your application with your company name at the top of the window. You just put your company name in the text field and click the Set New Name button, but you have to restart the program for the changes to take effect. This tab also gives the user the opportunity to exit the program.

Customer Tab

The Customer Tab allows you to keep track of your customer information and keeps it only a click away. To add a customer simply click the Add Customer button, a popup window will appear with a simple form to fill out. Fill in all fields and press the Add Customer button.

Once Customer is added simply click the Close button and on the main Customer Tab press the Refresh button to refresh the screen with new customer information.

Contractors Tab

The Contractors Tab is the same as the Customer Tab.

Pool Tab

The Pools tab allows the use to calculate the volume of a rectangular pool or hot tub, for round or oval pools or hot tubs see the Hot Tubs Tab. Simply enter the pool’s length, width and depth

(in feet) and press the Calculate Volume button.

Hot Tubs Tab

The Hot Tubs Tab allows the user to calculate the volume of a round or oval swimming pool or hot tub. For round pool simply select the Round Tub and enter the Length and Depth and press the Calculate Volume button, the width is automatically populated. For oval pools or hot tubs select the Oval Tub and enter the length, width and depth, then click the Calculate Volume.

Temperature Calculator Tab

The Temperature Calculator Tab allows the user to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius. To use simply enter the temperature you want to convert, select F for Fahrenheit or C for Celsius from the dropdown menu and press convert.

Length Calculator Tab

The Length Calculator Tab allows the user to convert Metric and Standard measurements to each of the above fields. Simply enter a value in one and only one field and press the Convert button to make the calculations.
